Originaire du Congo et élevé en Zambie, Mootanda est un DJ et producteur d’événements établi à Montréal. Inspiré par ses racines africaines, il a débuté sa carrière derrière les platines en tant que DJ résident pour Afrotonik, avec pour objectif premier de célébrer l’évolution et la splendeur de la culture africaine à travers des soirées dansantes et des festivals de musique. Marc Rebillet is a one-man improvised deluge. No two of his shows are ever the same.

Skesa, also known as Téo Farley, is a Montreal DJ and producer renowned for his harmonious fusion of electronic and organic elements. His sound creations draw inspiration from a wide range of genres, including house, techno, breakbeat and soul. Born in 1997, Téo’s musical upbringing was enriched by his parents’ collection of trip-hop and jazz records, which introduced him to the world of drums and percussion during his formative years, participating in various jazz and hip-hop ensembles.
Skesa’s debut EP, “Anywhere Outside”, was released in spring 2019, unveiling a sound that straddles the realms of hip-hop and dancefloor grooves. The project includes collaborations with notable artists such as LayFullStop, Wasiu and Eric Biddines. Since then, he has fully committed himself to dance music, delivering a series of singles and remixes characterized by complex percussion and textured layers.

Partiboi69 is often described on the Internet as “the symbol of mutual love and mystery of the Australian underground”, a reputation he carries with pride, without compromise.

Lorsque Dave, né en 1989 à Dresde, a commencé à jouer de la guitare en 2004, il était loin d’imaginer que son chemin le mènerait dans des sphères électriques. Au fil des ans, il a commencé à quitter le domaine du punk, du rock et du métal pour se tourner vers les sons de la techno, de la house et de l’ambiance, tout en s’initiant à l’art de faire de la musique. When Dave, born 1989 in Dresden, began to play the guitar in 2004, he could barely imagine his way would lead him into electric spheres. A good jack, presenting a solo project of groovy pop-rock, with funk and psych breaches and consciously sculpted soaring envelopes.

BoBo OnO, c’est l’alter ego de Nicolas Beaudoin. Possible fils illégitime de Yoko échappé à Dolbeau il y a 40 ans (le mythe perdure, les dates concordent), BoBo croit en l’instinct et le laisser-aller, aime les grandes fêtes et prend la vie comme un cadeau. Phoque OFF : Kapitur et Easy Pain au Scanner

Formé à Montréal en 2022 en tant que descendant d’un violoncelliste classique brésilien, le sens de l’exploration musicale sans entrave de Kapitur prend d’assaut un mélange mélodieux inattendu de post-métal. L’instrument particulier occupe le centre, avec sa voix chaleureuse accompagnant naturellement la voix gutturale désarticulée du violoncelliste. Influencé par les Swans modernes, la scène du Mile End de Montréal des années 90, la noise de la côte est américaine, la musique classique contemporaine, le black/death/doom metal, leur son peut être brillant, triste et atmosphérique comme une lente apocalypse. Avec une programmation révélant leurs divers horizons, Kapitur partage des membres avec Spectral Wound, Massive Scar Era, Ratpiss et Infección. S’appuyant sur les traumatismes passés et l’espace sûr trouvé dans la littérature de science-fiction, le groupe explore les concepts d’émerveillement, de solitude et de désillusion, ouvrant la voie à une recherche croissante d’une identité fermée par les doctrines religieuses, les normes de genre, les relations impitoyables et l’exil. . Formed in Montreal in 2022 as the descendants of a Brazilian classical cellist, Kapitur’s sense of unfettered musical exploration takes an unexpectedly melodic blend of post-metal by storm. The distinctive instrument takes center stage, with its warm vocals a natural accompaniment to the cellist’s disjointed guttural voice. Influenced by modern Swans, Montreal’s Mile End scene of the ’90s, American East Coast noise, contemporary classical music and black/death/doom metal, their sound can be bright, sad and atmospheric like a slow apocalypse. With a line-up revealing their diverse horizons, Kapitur share members with Spectral Wound, Massive Scar Era, Ratpiss and Infección. Drawing on past traumas and the safe space found in science fiction literature, the band explores concepts of wonder, loneliness and disillusionment, paving the way for a growing search for an identity closed off by religious doctrines, gender norms, unforgiving relationships and exile. . When working with cover versions, Kapitur prefers to redefine them under a new, often political narrative – playing with something familiar to the audience, while conveying a new message in the context of the social challenges of the 21st century. Following their interpretation of Roots Bloody Roots, Kapitur release their debut EP “Covered in Dust”.

The artist has collaborated with prestigious labels such as Club Cringe (USA), GutterRing (UK), Failed Units (Germany) and Ultravirus (Australia). His recent EP, “Planet Pacifier”, earned him enthusiastic praise from Mixmag, DJ Mag, Bandcamp and many others. In summer 2022, DJ Pacifier completed his first European tour, followed by a U.S. tour with Ani Klang in winter 2023. In 2022, the artist also concocted a mix for Boiler Room, offering a captivating introduction to his style, as well as a delirious meme-inspired mix for FACT.

He has played at venues such as Elsewhere, Paragon, Knockdown Center, Le Bain and Romantso in Athens, Greece.

OM: From the Abyss to the Stars

Two major artists on the international opera scene join Yannick Nézet-Séguin in a sublime quest for light. Soprano Janai Brugger carries the steady, deep glow that characterizes Poulenc’s Gloria, the French composer’s landmark work, while mezzo-soprano Karen Cargill explores humanity’s greatest sufferings in the psalm “Du fond de l’abîme” (From the depths of the abyss) in order to bring out the spark of hope. Between these two choral works, there is a closeness: the inspiration Poulenc drew from the musical writing of Lili Boulanger.

Amy Beach, the first American symphonist, draws on her Irish roots to compose her Gaelic Symphony. She brilliantly illustrates the resilience of this decimated and exiled people who, despite the hardships, keep the flame of their culture alive through their folklore.

Deux artistes majeures de la scène lyrique internationale rejoignent Yannick Nézet-Séguin dans une sublime quête de lumière. Kinkead

Depuis le premier jam dans le ventre de leur mère en 1995, Henri et Simon Kinkead ne se quittent plus. Kinkead, c’est le nom de leur projet pop-québ dans lequel l’indie-rock, la néo-soul et le disco se mélangent dans un amour libre et polygame. Bien qu’influencés par les grands magistrats de la pop anglo (John Mayer, Mark Ronson, Frank Ocean), les deux frères écrivent des chansons profondément ancrées dans la culture québ et sa langue imagée.

À la fin 2018, ils ont lancé un premier EP (1995) qui a reçu un accueil positif des radios en plus de rejoindre un large public sur les différentes plateformes d’écoute. De nombreux spectacles ont suivi ce premier effort, notamment au Festival d’été de Québec. Leur complicité et le plaisir qu’ils partagent sur scène avec leurs acolytes sont contagieux et invitent à s’abandonner au groove. Les jumeaux reviennent en force en 2020 avec un premier album réalisé par Simon Kearney.

Since their first jam in their mother’s womb in 1995, Henri and Simon Kinkead have never left each other’s side. Kinkead is the name of their pop-québ project, in which indie-rock, neo-soul and disco blend in a free, polygamous love affair. Although influenced by the great magistrates of Anglo pop (John Mayer, Mark Ronson, Frank Ocean), the two brothers write songs deeply rooted in Québ culture and its imagery language.

In late 2018, they released their first EP (1995), which received a positive reception from radio stations in addition to reaching a wide audience on various listening platforms. Numerous shows followed this first effort, including at the Festival d’été de Québec. Their complicity and the pleasure they share on stage with their acolytes are contagious, inviting us to abandon ourselves to the groove. The twins return in 2020 with a debut album produced by Simon Kearney.
