Le Festival International de Jazz est de retour à Montréal cette année pour une 44e édition!

Du 27 juin au 6 juillet 2024, la série « Groove Rio Tinto » présentée par Rio Tinto fait briller des artistes et des groupes de multiples horizons sur scène croisement Ste-Catherine et Jeanne-Mance.

The Festival International de Jazz returns to Montreal this year for its 44th edition!
From June 27 to July 6, 2024, the “Groove Rio Tinto” series presented by Rio Tinto showcases artists and groups from a wide variety of backgrounds on stage at the intersection of Ste-Catherine and Jeanne-Mance.

Domaine Forget: Pink Martini avec China Forbes

Formé en 1994 avec douze musiciens dont le pianiste et directeur artistique Thomas Lauderdale et la chanteuse China Forbes, Pink Martini puise ses racines dans la musique classique autant que dans le jazz, la musique cubaine ou les comédies musicales de l’âge d’or hollywoodien. En résulte un pop-jazz tonique inspiré qui fait la fête et le beau temps, réunissant des mélodies et des rythmes issus des quatre coins du monde pour créer quelque chose de moderne. Formed in 1994 with twelve musicians, including pianist and artistic director Thomas Lauderdale and singer China Forbes, Pink Martini draws its roots from classical music as much as from jazz, Cuban music and the musicals of Hollywood’s golden age. The result is an inspired pop-jazz tonic that celebrates the good times and the bad, bringing together melodies and rhythms from the four corners of the globe to create something modern.
