“Au détour d’un groove inattendu, d’une référence musicale africaine ou latino, on ressent quelques-unes des décharges que nous assénait The Carnival, fusion rap métissée d’un autre musicien d’origine haïtienne, Wyclef Jean” (Le Devoir, 2022). Sur les traces de ses origines, le fondateur de Nomadic Massive poursuit son projet solo, amorcé en 2018. Son dernier album, “Soap Box”, coproduit par Boogát, fait dans l’éclectisme, les paroles en anglais, français ou créole, scandées façon Hip-Hop, se prêtant aussi bien à la trame rythmique haïtienne qu’aux insertions d’éléments africains et latino-américains.

Following in the footsteps of his origins, the founder of Nomadic Massive continues his solo project, begun in 2018. His latest album, “Soap Box”, co-produced by Boogát, is an eclectic affair, with lyrics in English, French or Creole, chanted hip-hop-style, lending themselves equally well to the Haitian rhythmic framework and to the insertions of African and Latin American elements.
