Strauss’s Knight of the Rose suite dreams of a classical Vienna where waltz, elegance and naivety reign. Tchaikovsky’s solo violin, at times lilting, at times virtuosic and at times folkloric, gives soloist Kerson Leong a formidable playing field. Under the direction of Alexander Shelley, Canadian composer Jocelyn Morlock’s My Name Is Amanda Todd carries the message of hope of this young victim of cyber-bullying.

This concert is dedicated to Canadian composer Jocelyn Morlock, who passed away on March 27.
