Multi-instrumentiste, compositeur, dilettante, polymathe…

Hippie Hourrah is a sunny psychedelic rock band based in Montreal. It features the trio Cedric Marinelli (Les Marinellis), Miles Dupire-Gagnon (Elephant Stone, Anemone) and Gabriel Lambert (Elephant Stone, Anemone, The Besnard Lakes). The band is part of the Simone Records family and they unveiled their self-titled debut album in June 2021. Their name was inspired by the song Hippie Hippie Hourrah by Jacques Dutronc.

Multi-instrumentalist, composer, dilettante, polymath… Emmanuel Alias went through more than four different paths before arriving at his eponymous rock-psychedelic project. Having first and among other things participated in the composition of music for the series Big Little Lies, Sharp Objects and Mon fils as well as for the feature film Jouliks by Mariloup Wolfe, he then started working for Musique Nomade, producing the album DREAMWEAVER by Anachnid (nominated for an ADISQ award and on the Polaris long list). He also produced the track Out Of Touch from Beyries’ album Encounter.
