Frédéric Alarie Trio au Dièse Onze

Depuis son arrivée sur la scène musicale du jazz à la fin des années 1980, Frédéric Alarie n’a cessé d’approfondir et d’enrichir son jeu à la contrebasse. Il a une réputation d’habile bâtisseur, aimant déconstruire les échafaudages convenus du jazz pour en ériger de nouveau. On qualifie son jeu de fluide, de sensible et des plus audacieux. Frédéric Alarie étonne par la couleur, la profondeur et l’audace de son travail: musicien, compositeur, soliste, il parvient toujours à élargir les limites de son expression et celles du jazz. 

Since arriving on the jazz music scene in the end of the 1980s, Frédéric Alarie never ceased to deepen and enrich their game the double bass. He has a reputation as a skillful builder, loving to deconstruct the conventional scaffolding of jazz in order to erect new ones. His playing is described as fluid, sensitive and daring. Frédéric Alarie surprises with the color, depth and audacity of his work: musician, composer, soloist, he always manages to  expand the limits of his expression and those of jazz.
