Sat 28 Jun 2025 • 09:30 pm Alt Folk / Indie Pop / Indigenous peoples
Scène TD - Montréal Gratuit
· by Rédaction PAN M 360

Elisapie’s unwavering attachment to her homeland and her language, Inuktitut, lies at the heart of her creative journey. Born in Salluit, a remote village in Nunavik accessible only by plane, the Inuk singer-songwriter and activist has become a prominent figure on the Canadian cultural scene. She first rose to national attention in 2005 when her group Taima won a Juno Award, and has since been widely recognized for her artistic achievements.
Inuktitut (2023), her critically acclaimed album, is the second of her works to be shortlisted for the Polaris Music Prize. Its success earned her two Juno Awards—Contemporary Indigenous Artist of the Year (2024) and Adult Alternative Album of the Year (2025)—as well as five awards at the 2024 ADISQ Gala. Since its release, Elisapie has performed over 70 concerts across Canada, and toured in Europe, the United States, and Australia.
Always accompanied by some of the finest musicians from Montreal’s indie and folk scenes, Elisapie brings Inuit culture to life with grace, blending tradition and modernity in powerful harmony.
