Silvia Jiménez Alvarez aka JASSS is a Berlin-based sound artist, producer and DJ, born and raised in Asturias, northern Spain. She began experimenting with electronic music production by editing field recordings after moving to the Netherlands in 2010. The following year, she moved to Berlin, where she began actively Djing on the electronic circuit and honed a voice as a curator who smoothly traverses tempos and eras. She has made regular appearances at clubs such as Berghain, De School in Amsterdam and Bassiani in Tbilisi, and has performed at festivals such as MUTEK Montreal, Sónar and Primavera. Her first full-length album, “Weightless”, released in 2017, testifies to her visceral approach to avant-garde composition.

Blending hard-hitting techno and raw energy, XIA and Corinita are always on the lookout for new, bursting sounds, sculpted around a driving breakbeat, melodies strongly influenced by Latin culture, harmoniously blending elements of DnB. Participating in the construction of a stronger techno scene in Montreal and founders of T.I.T.S Collective, they create events that bring artists from marginalized groups to the fore, embracing the mantra “small tits, big ambitions”.
