Since arriving on the jazz music scene in the end of the 1980s, Frédéric Alarie never ceased to deepen and enrich their game the double bass. He has a reputation as a skillful builder, loving to deconstruct the conventional scaffolding of jazz in order to erect new ones. His playing is described as fluid, sensitive and daring. Frédéric Alarie surprises with the color, depth and audacity of his work: musician, composer, soloist, he always manages to expand the limits of his expression and those of jazz.
