Aminé est un rappeur vif et haut en couleur, connu pour son approche décalée du hip-hop. Sa carrière a décollé grâce à son tube multi-platine Caroline (2016), qui a atteint la 11e place du classement pop américain. Il a ensuite confirmé son succès avec Good for You (2017), un album certifié or, puis avec la mixtape ONEPOINTFIVE (2018), marquée par Reel It In, son deuxième single multi-platine.
Son deuxième véritable album, Limbo (2020), s’est hissé dans le Top 20 du Billboard 200, avant d’être suivi par une nouvelle mixtape, TWOPOINTFIVE (2021). Entre ces deux projets, Aminé a décroché une nomination aux Grammy Awards dans la catégorie « Best Dance Recording » pour sa collaboration avec Disclosure sur le morceau My High.
Collaborateur de longue date du producteur Kaytranada, il a sorti avec lui l’album commun Kaytraminé en 2023. L’année suivante, Aminé a dévoilé un EP concis intitulé .mp3s (2024).
