Pour ce dernier concert de la série des Chambristes, les trombonistes de l’OSL Madeleine Doyon-Robitaille, Sébastien Côté, Renaud Gratton et Matthieu Bourget nous proposent un programme varié comprenant en autres des œuvres de Bach, Beethoven et Debussy écrites originalement ou arrangées pour quatuor de trombones. For this final concert of the Chambristes series, the OSL trombonists Madeleine Doyon-Robitaille, Sébastien Côté, Renaud Gratton, and Matthieu Bourget present a varied program including works by Bach, Beethoven, and Debussy, either originally written or arranged for trombone quartet. Composed for cello trio or quartet, the works and arrangements in this programme were conceived by David Popper (1843-1913), Friedrich Grützmacher (1832-1903), Jacques Offenbach (1819-1880), Paul Bazelaire (1886-1958) and Reinhold Glière (1874-1956). With the exception of the latter, it should be noted that the composers played at this concert were once excellent cellists.
