La Société philharmonique du Nouveau Monde – chœurs et orchestre vous invite à venir assister à la présentation de Carmina Burana, de Carl Orff. Il s’agit sans contredit de l’une des œuvres classiques les plus populaires, particulièrement sa percutante introduction, Ô Fortuna, mondialement connue. Sur scène, plus de 150 choristes, accompagnés de deux pianistes invités, Gianluca Luisi et Lorenzo Di Bella, de percussionnistes ainsi que des solistes Ania Hejnar, soprano, Jeffrey Carl, ténor, et Alexandre Sylvestre, basse, sous la direction énergique de Maestro Michel Brousseau.

The Société Philharmonique du Nouveau Monde—its choirs and orchestra—invites you to a captivating event featuring Carl Orff’s masterpiece. Considered one of the most iconic classical works, Carmina Burana is renowned for its powerful and dramatic opening, O Fortuna. More than 150 choristers will perform alongside guest pianists Gianluca Luisi and Lorenzo Di Bella, percussionists, and soloists Ania Hejnar (soprano), Jeffrey Carl (tenor), and Alexandre Sylvestre (bass), all under the dynamic baton of Maestro Michel Brousseau.

Le Chœur philharmonique du Nouveau Monde – Montréal est ravi de vous convier à son concert in memoriam présenté par les chœurs et l’orchestre de la Société philharmonique du Nouveau Monde. Solistes, choristes et musiciens sauront vous offrir, comme toujours, un grand concert sous la direction artistique habile et inspirante de Michel Brousseau, reconnu pour ses interprétations vibrantes et intenses.

Au programme, la Messe solennelle de saint Remi de Théodore Dubois, le célèbre Requiem de Gabriel Fauré, considéré comme l’un des plus beaux requiem du XIX^e siècle, ainsi que le Cantique de Jean Racine, du même compositeur. Un moment grandiose à venir!

(CANCELLED) McGill Symphony Orchestra & Alexis Hauser : Brahms Requiem

Under the direction of maestro Alexis Hauser, the McGill Symphony Orchestra shares the stage (the altar, in fact) of l’église Saint-Jean-Baptiste with the Schulich Singers and the McGill Concert Choir for the performance of Johannes Brahms’ Ein deutsches Requiem. Conceived as a path to consolation, this work was marked by the passing of two very important people for Brahms: his mother, and the composer Robert Schumann, whom he considered his mentor.
