The techno of DEAS comes from the depths of Krakow (Poland), where history and climate are the fertile ground of a cold, noisy, post-indus techno. However, it has the power to warm up the concrete warehouses, where the dance takes all its rights, like a revenge on the society. The EP, “Form Follow Function’, released last October, is a pure techno beauty. The 133BPM rhythmic pulses compete with the subtly reverberated synth notes, while sweeping the electrified texture under an echoing background. Added to this, the sounds, both tortuous and melodic, which blend perfectly with the rolling kicks.
