The South Korean alt-electro icon chose the ones that worked best, and built complementary music for them. Opener \u201cvc19101\u201d illustrates the principle nicely, the chiming, mid-tempo music for the most part a backdrop. Then \u201cvc19111\u201d arrives in the territory for which she\u2019s familiar, the abrupt, hectic, contrarian chop \u2019n\u2019 screw of pure digital sweetness, bold, deranged and delicious.
