This compilation brings together a collection of works composed at different times, the aim being to demonstrate to the European public the extent of John Adams&#8217; talent. The Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra is moving out of its comfort zone here and offers fascinating interpretations, including <em>Harmonielehre<\/em> (1985), <em>The Wound-Dresser<\/em> (1989) and the magnificent <em>Gospel According to the Other Mary<\/em> (2012).
