My musical universe is in the retrowave (hint: &#8220;outrun&#8221;), I have millions of listens with tracks like \u201cHotline Miami II\u201d, I have played in major international festivals, I am the author of the soundtrack of the film <em>Deadcon<\/em> (2019), I am under contract with Lisbon Lux, I am&#8230; Das M\u00f6rtal! Like other Montreal electro artists, the Chilean-born producer, who is very successful on the other side of our borders and in certain niche markets, is struggling to find local recognition commensurate with his productions. And yet, since his first songs, quality has been the order of the day. As the title of his latest essay, <em>Miami Beach Witches<\/em>, indicates, we enter a world at the crossroads of <em>Miami Vice<\/em> and horror, tinged with dark colours with a chrome finish. The freshly released video for \u201cIt Comes\u201d, with a production as polished as the music, features two witches and a young man, the archetypal American of the 1980s. The use of aerial voices on \u201cAge of Solitude\u201d and \u201cWicked Desires\u201d opens a new-wave breach. The spectre of American producer Lorn hovers over \u201cBlack Summer Lips\u201d. \u201cThe Void\u201d stands out by getting closer to techno (a few beats per minute less and it\u2019s an excellent new-beat track). Accessible and coherent, this second album confirms that Das M\u00f6rtal has mastered the synthwave genre intelligently, without ever falling into caricature.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe style=\"border: 0; width: 350px; height: 786px;\" src=\"https:\/\/bandcamp.com\/EmbeddedPlayer\/album=1718069528\/size=large\/bgcol=ffffff\/linkcol=0687f5\/transparent=true\/\" seamless=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/dasmortal.bandcamp.com\/album\/miami-beach-witches\">Miami Beach Witches by Das m\u00f6rtal<\/a><\/iframe>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Who am I?
