At the initiative of the local music platform Mes enceintes font d\u00e9faut (MEFD) and ottoman.gr\u00fcw, ten artists from Montreal\u2019s underground electronic scene join forces to release a first compilation, the proceeds of which will be donated in full to the non-profit organization Solidarity Across Borders<\/strong><\/a>. Ten carefully selected tracks representative of the different styles that animated Montreal\u2019s nightlife before COVID. That said, it\u2019s always possible to have a good time in your living room, and that\u2019s what CMD\u2019s opening track, \u201cNanobodies of Love\u201d, invites. Things take a European direction with Police Des M\u0153urs, walking on the new wave side, and there\u2019s a Belgian aspect to the martial rhythm of \u201cThe Sound of Joy Is Enlightenment\u201d, perfectly adapted to jumpstyle. The first part of the album, more techno-oriented, gives way to tracks closer to experimental and EBM, with a detour through the melodic Eurodance of Spr\u00e6lle. Aquaventure strikes the sensitive chord of dub techno with accuracy. If the colours of the album seem cold, they nevertheless raise the temperature. The sound spectra awaken memories of rib cages rattling to the rhythm of the kick, dripping ceilings and beer-stained dancefloors. Montreal Dances Across Borders, and we dance with it.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
