Warren is a bassist originally from Victoria but now based in Toronto. A young man of barely 22 who effectively masters his jazz roots and exploits them in his own way, in a funky groove tinged with blues, swing, and good old-school Hard Bop. We really like the attachment to straightforward melodies and catchy themes that add to other references, like, say, Snarky Puppy. We also appreciate the sunny aura that radiates from the arrangements, bathing the sound space in a pleasant light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
