Naming your album under the same title as your other one is funny for two reasons\u2014One: It kind of takes the piss out of all music industry standards. Two: It&#8217;s confusing, but also a really good way to have new fans discover all of your work by looking up one title. I, for one, needed to listen to the first one after checking out the newest <em>Your Day Will Come<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">This record trades the scrappy, lo-fi churn of earlier Chanel Beads for something more patient and spacious. The guitars still fray at the edges liek they&#8217;re being pulled apart, but there&#8217;s more room to breathe between the noise \u2014 hooks arrive later, hit harder when they do, especially on &#8220;The Coward Forgets His Nightmare.&#8221; Vocals sit low in the mix, half-buried under tape hiss and reverb, giving the whole thing a hushed, private feel. The drums are loose, almost conversational, never locking into anything too tidy on tracks like &#8220;Drums Only&#8221; and &#8220;Silver Cup.&#8221; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Your Day Will Come<\/em> is a pretty easy listening experience that has enough eccentricities to separate it from cookie-cutter dream pop.
