He can, through a jazz framework solidly informed by the great rules of the genre, explore the rock, contemporary, Latin, Caribbean, funk, pop (and more) fringes that can rub against it. The <em>Bolduc Groove Quintet <\/em>showcases a journey into the heart of a coolness that moves with style and attitude. Eight original tracks carried as much by the master himself as by companions equally skilled in the confident groove. Excellent, therefore, are Nick Semenykhin on guitar (listen to him go in <em>Sunset Square<\/em>), Ira Coleman on double bass, Rich Irwin on drums, and Chantel de Villiers on saxophone (and with her very beautiful vocalisations on a few tracks).<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/panm360.com\/en\/interviews-panm360\/remi-bolduc-groove-quintet-interview-album-sortie-launch-jazz-montreal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">INTERVIEW WITH REMI BOLDUC<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Le Bolduc Groove Quintet - Live at Diese Onze, Montr\u00e9al\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/XYjlXSXcM2Y?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">In the interview he gave me about this album, R\u00e9mi also mentioned that it was Chantel who was behind it.
