{"id":15494,"date":"2020-04-04T00:01:00","date_gmt":"2020-04-04T04:01:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/panm360.com\/?post_type=records&#038;p=15494"},"modified":"2020-04-03T11:52:07","modified_gmt":"2020-04-03T15:52:07","slug":"trust-sixth-june","status":"publish","type":"records","link":"https:\/\/panm360.com\/en\/records\/trust-sixth-june\/","title":{"rendered":"Trust"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Serbian duo, based in Berlin for the past 10 years, released a new album at the beginning of the year, almost three years after <em>Virgo Rising<\/em>. <em>Trust<\/em> proves to be a small jewel of minimalist darkwave which delights in particular with its sonic explorations and the clever mix of timbres it conceals. For example, the magnificent opening track, \u201cIn Dreams\u201d, features delicate winds, claves and muffled guitar. It also features, happily, the Olympian voice of Lidija Andonov. \u201cNegde Neko\u201d, the next track, sung in Serbian, is both ethereal and majestic. We have to wait for \u201cOh Boy\u201d to find a more danceable sound (and we don&#8217;t even complain about it!), with synths and a drum machine dictating the rhythm. \u201cFear of Money\u201d, with its distinctly Carpenterian influence, further demonstrates the extent of the duo&#8217;s musical versatility, within the same dark aesthetic. The album&#8217;s eponymous track, the only one where Laslo Antal&#8217;s voice is in the foreground, evokes a kind of downtempo Fad Gadget. Each of the pieces is obviously worked with inventiveness. In spite of its colourful sounds, the album is invested with the same spirit. <em>Trust<\/em> won&#8217;t unleash great effusions, but that doesn&#8217;t prevent it from satiating and comforting, thanks to the restraint and majesty the tandem shows there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/embed\/album\/6nWu5ymK7e3crvtqo3soDT\" width=\"300\" height=\"380\" frameborder=\"0\" allowtransparency=\"true\" allow=\"encrypted-media\"><\/iframe>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Serbian duo, based in Berlin for the past 10 years, released a new album at the beginning of the year, almost three years after Virgo Rising.
