The young man is talented, and the extraordinary richness of the Montreal scene, so generous in all kinds of possibilities, is good for him. We see and hear him more and more, surrounded by the best artists in the City. That said, he remains attached to certain references from his native hometown (Quebec city), as demonstrated by titles such as &#8220;Belv\u00e9d\u00e8re<em> <\/em>(a street)&#8221; and<em> <\/em>&#8220;Ste-Ang\u00e8le (a bar).&#8221; Thru seven well-cut pieces, Du Sablon constructs a jazz that draws from a Hard Bop of good school (in this case the excellent McGill University) and intelligently deployed, but daring to attach elements naturally close to his heart, namely rock and even metal. The result is a studious and contemporary album, the testimony of a career that deserves to be followed closely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Lo\u00efc Du Sablon will offer a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.upstairsjazz.com\/fr\/events\/loic-du-sablon-quintetlancement-dalbum-belvedere\/\"><strong><em>Belv\u00e9d\u00e8re <\/em><\/strong><strong>launch concert on November 2, 2025, at the Upstairs club<\/strong><\/a> in Montreal.
