Also, silky strings, funky brass, though a bit too discreet for my taste, bouncy guitar, and above all, a caressing voice, precise, and imbued with appropriately sexy inflections, not tacky either.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"TINA LEON - The Current\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Wrhk9rjLRQ4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Montrealer Tina Leon knows how to do it. She also knows how to surround herself. It was while noting the often unconventional arrangements that I noticed the name Antoine Gratton, excellent at giving surprising pep to the often conventional colors of pop music-making. And then I saw the rest of the lineup: Alex McMahon (producer, plus a bunch of instruments), Kevin Warren (drums), J\u00e9r\u00f4me Beaulieu (co-producer, keyboards, synths), Ariane Moffat (producer, keyboards, and more), the Quatuor Esca on strings, and many others. It&#8217;s pretty solid.
