Like contemporary Minimalism, the Baroque liked to use these methods of sound and music that captivate the listeners and hold them, as if glued, until the last second.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Marie-Nadeau Tremblay - La Folia - Michel Farinel\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/_Tz9HI9Cr6o?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There is indeed an obsessive, hypnotising quality to these instrumental gems by Biber, Buxtehude and a few lesser-known names like Francoeur and Guillemain. The young artist is solidly supported by the excellence of M\u00e9lisande Corriveau (viola<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">da gamba), Eric Milnes (harpsichord and organ) and Kerry Bursey (tenor and lute). She herself displays an ultra-crystalline technique, firmly imbued with great confidence, and above all a style of playing that is committed, passionate and highly communicative. It&#8217;s splendid.
