Avec son violoncelle, il a fait de la musique instrumentale plut\u00f4t exp\u00e9rimentale; avec parall\u00e8lement, des participations \u00e0 des groupes de jazz. Mais il est aussi attir\u00e9 par le hip-hop. Par-dessus tout, il adore cr\u00e9er des sons \u00e9tranges et pas tr\u00e8s orthodoxes en branchant son instrument favori dans toutes sortes de machines synth\u00e9tiques et \u00e9lectroniques.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:20px\"><em>Project Freedom<\/em>&nbsp;est un m\u00e9lange de tout cela : quinze pi\u00e8ces plut\u00f4t courtes, qui nous emm\u00e8nent dans diff\u00e9rents univers, avec une sonorit\u00e9 tr\u00e8s personnelle. Graduellement, nous passons d\u2019une atmosph\u00e8re m\u00e9ditative \u00e0 des musiques plus dansantes, pour ensuite revenir \u00e0 la lenteur \u00e0 la fin.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:20px\">Au milieu du disque, on entend une pri\u00e8re \u00e0 la d\u00e9esse indienne Kali, un hommage instrumental au joueur de baseball Jackie Robinson, ainsi qu\u2019un \u00e9change t\u00e9l\u00e9phonique avec un ami canadien, qui fait \u00e9tat de son inqui\u00e9tude face \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9lection pr\u00e9sidentielle de novembre.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:20px\">Tout n\u2019est pas parfait. Jordan Hamilton est \u00e0 son meilleur quand il utilise au maximum son violoncelle. Mais, comme dirait un coll\u00e8gue, \u00ab c\u2019est de la belle ouvrage \u00bb. Les couches de violoncelle multipli\u00e9es donnent souvent des r\u00e9sultats \u00e9tonnants. Un violoncelle qui sonne parfois comme un accord\u00e9on, comme un clavier, comme des cuivres \u00e9lectroniques, ou comme\u2026 un violoncelle. S\u2019ajoutent \u00e0 cela des percussions et les voix de Jordan Hamilton.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:20px\">Si vous voulez entendre de la musique plus instrumentale, je vous sugg\u00e8re l\u2019album&nbsp;<em>Tri Magi&nbsp;<\/em>par Jordan Hamilton, The Lasso et The Saxquatch de 2021, qui donne davantage franchement dans le jazz.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:20px\">Le jeune homme de Kalamazoo pique vraiment notre curiosit\u00e9. Qui a dit qu\u2019il n\u2019y avait que des usines de voitures au Michigan\u2009? En passant, on y trouve plus d\u2019une centaine de vignobles.
