A quartet in due form, with the Everestian pinnacle of today&#8217;s music: Jason Moran on piano, Larry Grenadier on double bass and Brian Blade on drums support the octogenarian with his sax of assertive character and impeccable stylistic sapience. Moran&#8217;s piano skilfully pearls Lloyd&#8217;s elegant but sometimes off-kilter lines, while Grenadier&#8217;s double bass and Blade&#8217;s drums titillate the discourse with discreet asymmetrical extravagances. With this level of talent per square second, this album simply couldn&#8217;t disappoint.
