Leonard Sumner is an Anishinaabe singer-songwriter from Canada. His craft blends all the music styles that had an impact on him since his childhood : country, folk, rock, hip-hop. In 2018, his album Standing in the Light received a Juno Award nomination for Indigenous Music Album of the Year at the Juno Awards of 2019. Since then, Leonard Sumner pursue his career through the indigenous cultural circuit and many other events in the world. He released 3 studio albums yet : Standing in the Light, Rez Poetry and Thunderbird, the next recording would be out next year. While in Montreal for Presence autochtone, Leonard Sumner was interviewed by Juliana Cortes Lugo.
