That of bassist and composer Laurent Perreault Jolicoeur, who decided to contact kora master and Senegalese griot Zal Sissokho to propose this project in 2022. Three years later, they are about to release their album <em>Racines (Roots)<\/em>, which will be launched at the Lion d&#8217;Or on November 11. In the meantime, the 10 tracks, which explore memory, identity, and modernity between West Africa and North America, will be available to listen to starting October 31.
