More inspired by British and American culture than French, without in any way denying it, Laura Cahen offers 10 songs. In a world that is regressing and going up in flames, love, desire and sexual identity inspire flight, the quest for a safe place conducive to harmony between beings different from the conservative norms that have become pre-eminent once again. \u00a0\u201cI imagine a world not far from our own, burning on all sides, with bombs falling all the time, an ecological crisis in full swing, and increasingly conservative and radical governments. In it, two women would fall madly in love and have to leave the city to find a better place where their love would have a chance to exist.\u201d What&#8217;s the story? A conversation is in order, because <em>De l&#8217;autre c\u00f4t\u00e9<\/em> is a substantial album where poetry prevails over pamphlet, where art and feeling have the last word.
