In addition to a selection of eight pieces by these visionary creators, the 2024-25 season will feature works by <a href=\"https:\/\/smcq.qc.ca\/smcq\/en\/artiste\/martin_ha\/biographie\">Hans Martin<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/smcq.qc.ca\/smcq\/en\/artiste\/devaux_ke\/biographie\">Keiko Devaux<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/smcq.qc.ca\/smcq\/en\/artiste\/jeric_ma\/biographie\">Margareta Jeric<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/smcq.qc.ca\/smcq\/en\/artiste\/macnabseguin_ph\/biographie\">Philippe Macnab-S\u00e9guin<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/smcq.qc.ca\/smcq\/en\/artiste\/moussa_sa\/biographie\">Samy Moussa<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/smcq.qc.ca\/smcq\/en\/artiste\/tagaq_ta\/biographie\">Tanya Tagaq<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/smcq.qc.ca\/smcq\/en\/artiste\/ueda_ri\/biographie\">Rita Ueda<\/a>. Among the pieces are five new SMCQ commissions.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:20px\">To interpret all this music, the performance was entrusted to <a href=\"https:\/\/smcq.qc.ca\/smcq\/en\/artiste\/ensembledelasmcq_\/biographie\">The Ensemble de la SMCQ <\/a>(<a href=\"https:\/\/smcq.qc.ca\/smcq\/en\/artiste\/gort_cr\/biographie\">Cristian Gort<\/a>, conductor), <a href=\"https:\/\/smcq.qc.ca\/smcq\/en\/artiste\/petitschanteursdumon_le\/biographie\">Les Petits Chanteurs du Mont-Royal<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/smcq.qc.ca\/smcq\/en\/artiste\/vocesboreales_\/biographie\">Voces Boreales<\/a> (<a href=\"https:\/\/smcq.qc.ca\/smcq\/en\/artiste\/gray_an\/biographie\">Andrew Gray<\/a>, conductor) and <a href=\"https:\/\/smcq.qc.ca\/smcq\/en\/artiste\/triokalysta_\/biographie\">Trio Kalysta<\/a> (<a href=\"https:\/\/smcq.qc.ca\/smcq\/en\/artiste\/belvedere_em\/biographie\">Emily Belvedere<\/a>, harp, <a href=\"https:\/\/smcq.qc.ca\/smcq\/en\/artiste\/deutsch_la\/biographie\">Lara Deutsch<\/a>, flute, <a href=\"https:\/\/smcq.qc.ca\/smcq\/en\/artiste\/thibeault_ma\/biographie\">Marina Thibeault<\/a>, viola) with soloists <a href=\"https:\/\/smcq.qc.ca\/smcq\/en\/artiste\/reimer_pa\/biographie\">Pamela Reimer<\/a> (piano), <a href=\"https:\/\/smcq.qc.ca\/smcq\/en\/artiste\/breault_ma\/biographie\">Marie-H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Breault<\/a> (flute), <a href=\"https:\/\/smcq.qc.ca\/smcq\/en\/artiste\/dominguez_ch\/biographie\">Chlo\u00e9 Dominguez<\/a> (cello) and <a href=\"https:\/\/smcq.qc.ca\/smcq\/en\/artiste\/harel_me\/biographie\">M\u00e9lanie Harel<\/a> (oboe and English horn).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:20px\">The SMCQ&#8217;s 59th season will also see the 12th presentation of the Montreal\/New Music (MNM) international festival, from February 14 to March 2, 2025.
