The band have been darlings of the Montreal hardcore scene for the past couple of years, and that day, they were slated to perform twice. The first was an indoor show, a calmer affair with kids in the crowd. Later that night, they played a secret show outside a 24-hour poutine restaurant, and they came out in full force. Somehow, by the end of it all, with back-to-back Truck Violence, I felt renewed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Lead singetr Karsyn Henderson has a commanding presence, pacing and strutting across the stage like a Southern Baptist preacher mid-sermon. He\u2019s both intense and fierce, yet tender. The best example of this comes during the rare reprieve in both sets, a dark folk banjo ballad, when he sings \u201c<em>I like it here right now<\/em>\u201d during \u201cguns buried in the front yard,\u201d his voice bending with a painful twang. Guitarist Paul Lecours and bassist Chris Clegg work in tandem, driving the songs forward with such force that you feel like taking a sledgehammer to a wall. At other moments, their sludgy riffs makes you feel like you\u2019re wading through thick tar. The band\u2019s newest addition, drummer Thomas Hart, pounded the drums with explosive force and ferocity. Together, Truck Violence is a force that\u2019s impossible to ignore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1080\" height=\"720\" data-id=\"164532\" src=\"https:\/\/panm360.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/FME2026-Day3-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-164532\" srcset=\"https:\/\/panm360.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/FME2026-Day3-1.jpg 1080w, https:\/\/panm360.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/FME2026-Day3-1-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1080px) 100vw, 1080px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1080\" height=\"720\" data-id=\"164535\" src=\"https:\/\/panm360.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/FME2026-Day3-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-164535\" srcset=\"https:\/\/panm360.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/FME2026-Day3-3.jpg 1080w, https:\/\/panm360.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/FME2026-Day3-3-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1080px) 100vw, 1080px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">There is no drop-off in quality between sets. Truck Violence is a searing forge: intense, hammering, with brief reprieves from the heat. When they\u2019re on it, there is no stopping them. You\u2019re along for the ride whether you like it or not.
