She kicked things off with the explosive energy of \u201cThief,\u201d the opening track from her album <em>Lotus<\/em>. Wearing a T-shirt featuring Aang, the main character from the animated series <em>Avatar: The Last Airbender<\/em>, she exuded\u2014from the moment she took the stage\u2014that cool, laid-back, and unique attitude that would define her entire performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">From the very first lyrical flourishes, her magnetism comes across as completely natural. On \u201cMood Swings,\u201d \u201cGame On,\u201d and \u201cSOS,\u201d she explores a new facet of her sonic identity\u2014blending percussive beats, tribal house, and Brazilian influences\u2014inviting the crowd to dance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Back with her band, she delivers one highlight after another: \u201cLion,\u201d a celebratory track in which she proudly asserts her accomplishments, accompanied by visuals in warm colors displaying the phrase \u201cWe don\u2019t care for what they say, that\u2019s my superpower\u201d in the background, while the silhouette of a man striking a powerful pose appears on screen. She then continues with \u201cPoint and Kill,\u201d driven by a sinuous bassline and brass sections reminiscent of Fela Kuti\u2019s Afrobeats \u2014 a unifying moment where the crowd sings along with her.
