Gayance<\/strong>, le pseudonyme d’A\u00efsha Vertus, gagne en notori\u00e9t\u00e9 gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ses sets <\/em>originaux depuis 2013 et \u00e0 sa musique autoproduite depuis 2021. Ayant grandi \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al-Nord, A\u00efsha s\u2019est depuis li\u00e9e \u00e0 de multiples familles artistiques \u00e0 travers l’Europe et l’Am\u00e9rique latine; r\u00e9pandant la joie et \u00e9tablissant des connexions partout o\u00f9 elle s\u2019installe. Elle est nomade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Son grand-p\u00e8re maternel jouait du gospel d’influence ha\u00eftienne et cubaine \u00e0 l’\u00e9glise et lui a d\u00e9montr\u00e9 comment la musique peut toucher, rassembler et \u00e9lever les gens. Un don auquel elle a pr\u00eat\u00e9 attention et qu’elle a respect\u00e9 tout au long de son parcours. Cette ann\u00e9e, Gayance<\/strong> donnera \u00e9galement naissance \u00e0 Mascarade \u2060\u2014 origin story<\/em>, le court-m\u00e9trage r\u00e9alis\u00e9 par Ma\u00eflis, qui para\u00eetra tr\u00e8s prochainement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elle s’inspire de ses mod\u00e8les rebelles et pionnier\u00b7e\u00b7s tel\u00b7le\u00b7s que Betty Davis, Bob Marley, Gal Costa, Eddie Hazel ainsi que de ses contemporains, Flying Lotus, IG Culture et Little Dragon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An artist-entrepreneur by nature, A\u00efsha Vertus<\/strong> by name, this Saturnian, Capricorn is an expansive vessel of creativity, redefining the DJ \/ producer \/ songwriter \/ singer prefix and so much more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gayance<\/strong>, the pseudonym of A\u00efsha Vertus, has been gaining momentum through original sets since 2013 and self released music since 2021. Growing up in Montreal-Nord, Canada, A\u00efsha has since made multiple artistic families around Europe and in Latin America – spreading joy and connection wherever she resides. She’s a nomad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her maternal Grandfather played Haitian-Cuban influenced gospels in church and showed her how music can touch, gather and uplift people. A gift she\u2019s paid attention and respect to along her path. This year, Gayance<\/strong> will also birth Mascarade – origin story<\/em>, the short art film directed by Ma\u00eflis, coming out very soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Receiving inspiration from fellow rebels and pioneers such as Betty Davis, Bob Marley, Gal Costa, Eddie Hazel as well as contemporaries, Flying Lotus, IG Culture and Little Dragon.

Gayance<\/strong>\u00a0has a mind to move and surprise us and is actively doing just that. She will be presenting her live performance: Gayance & The Jazz Cats with Montrealer’s stellar musician line up for a vibrant night to dance, rage and hopefully feel empowered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
