Sophie Fustec est n\u00e9e \u00e0 Paris d\u2019une m\u00e8re V\u00e9n\u00e9zu\u00e9lienne et d\u2019un p\u00e8re Fran\u00e7ais. Elle a grandi au sein du 20\u00e8me arrondissement de Paris, Belleville, mais aussi \u00e0 Merida (l\u2019ouest du Venezuela) o\u00f9 elle partait r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement rendre visite \u00e0 sa famille maternelle. Sophie a d\u00e9but\u00e9 la musique tr\u00e8s jeune, par le violon et puis le piano qu\u2019elle \u00e9tudiera pendant 13 ans au conservatoire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
La Chica a fait para\u00eetre son premier album CAMBIO<\/em>, qui veut dire \u00abchangement\u00bb, ou \u00abje change\u00bb, en 2019. Un album se montrant incisif et brut, sans d\u00e9laisser compl\u00e8tement l\u2019introspection lucide qui marquait ses pr\u00e9c\u00e9dentes compositions. Dans celui-ci, elle y exprime sans ambigu\u00eft\u00e9 ses d\u00e9sirs de changement voire de m\u00e9tamorphose. Ses textes s\u2019inspirent davantage du r\u00e9el, notamment des derniers \u00e9v\u00e9nements au Venezuela, et les compositions se font plus tranch\u00e9es construisant un album contrast\u00e9 o\u00f9 elle sait passer avec bonheur d’un chant de guerri\u00e8re \u00e0 un po\u00e8me murmur\u00e9 \u00e0 elle-m\u00eame. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Sophie Fustec was born in Paris to her Venezuelan mother and French father. She grew up in Belleville, a neighbourhood in the 20th arrondissement of Paris, as well as Merida, in the west of Venezuela where she regularly went to see relatives on her mother\u2019s side. Sophie started playing music at a young age. First the violin, then the piano, which she went on to study for 13 years at the Conservatoire de Paris, a prestigious music and dance college.<\/p>\n\n\n\n La Chica released her debut album CAMBIO<\/em>\u2014meaning \u201cchange\u201d\u2014in 2019. A poignant and raw album without completely moving away from the lucid soul-searching that defined her previous releases. She states without any ambiguity her yearning to change, to even become a new being. Lyrically, she\u2019s been inspired by what\u2019s going on in the real world, particularly the latest crisis in Venezuela.
