Profond\u00e9ment enracin\u00e9e dans ce folklore carnavalesque traditionnel, la musique du groupe, fond\u00e9 en 2005 et nomin\u00e9 aux Junos et aux Polaris, n\u2019en est pas moins ultra moderne : sombre et joyeuse, po\u00e9tique et dansante, avec des textes incisifs et des modulations Ska, Dancehall, Dub, Zouk et Hip-hop soutenues par des cuivres \u00e9crasants, comme en t\u00e9moigne son dernier album\u00a0<em>Carnival of the Ghosts<\/em>. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cKobo Town continues to redefine calypso, pushing the boundaries of the Caribbean music\u201d (Macleod Gazette, 2022). Kobo Town takes its name from the historic neighborhood in Port-of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago\u2019s capital, where calypso began to emerge in the 19th century as a blend of African rhythms with European influences. Deeply rooted in the carnivalesque folklore of traditional calypso, the music of this group, formed in 2005 and nominated for Junos and Polaris awards, is nonetheless ultramodern: dark and joyful, poetic and danceable, with incisive lyrics modulated by ska, dancehall, dub, zouk and hip-hop rhythms and backed by a powerful brass section, all of which can be heard on Kobo Town\u2019s latest album, Carnival of the Ghosts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>GRATUIT!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1349\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ua3lyXk4pas\" title=\"Kobo Town - Scarborough Girl (feat.
