Entre grondements palpables et textures immatérielles, le groupe flotte quelque part aux frontières du liminal et du lacrymal, liant les émotions tendres au chagrin réconfortant.

Carolane Prévost and Joël Lemieux became friends a long time ago, brought together by their shared love of the DIY scene and the local music scene—which eventually led them to form Perma, a wonderful project that blends hazy dream pop with resourceful shoegaze. Their music possesses an inherent ethereal quality—and at the same time unfolds with complete transparency, in a spirit of authenticity that’s as genuine as it gets. Between palpable rumblings and immaterial textures, the band floats somewhere on the border between the liminal and the tearful, linking tender emotions to comforting sorrow.
