Deo Munyakazi<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deo Munyakazi est un artiste rwandais dont la musique transforme l\u2019inanga, le plus ancien instrument \u00e0 cordes du Rwanda, en un pont vivant entre h\u00e9ritage ancestral et cr\u00e9ation contemporaine. Form\u00e9 aupr\u00e8s du ma\u00eetre Mushabizi Jean-Marie Vianney \u00e0 Gakenke, il s\u2019impose d\u00e8s 2015 comme l\u2019une des voix les plus singuli\u00e8res de sa g\u00e9n\u00e9ration. Son parcours international l\u2019a men\u00e9 sur des sc\u00e8nes en Afrique, en Europe et en Am\u00e9rique du Nord,Ses collaborations t\u00e9moignent d\u2019une capacit\u00e9 rare \u00e0 traverser les genres. Bas\u00e9 \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al, Deo fait aussi partie du collectif Constellation de cordes, port\u00e9 par le Centre des musiciens du monde, avec lequel il tourne \u00e0 travers le Canada. Deo Munyakazi is a Rwandan artist whose music transforms the inanga\u2014Rwanda\u2019s oldest stringed instrument\u2014into a living bridge between ancestral heritage and contemporary creation. Trained by the master Mushabizi Jean-Marie Vianney in Gakenke, he has established himself since 2015 as one of the most distinctive voices of his generation. His international career has taken him to stages across Africa, Europe, and North America; his collaborations demonstrate a rare ability to transcend genres. Based in Montreal, Deo is also a member of the Constellation de cordes collective, supported by the Centre des musiciens du monde, with which he tours across Canada. He performs as part of a trio, offering a live experience where the inanga interacts with contemporary textures and modern arrangements, creating a sound that is at once intimate, rich, and decidedly contemporary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lydol<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Premi\u00e8re slameuse finaliste au Prix D\u00e9couvertes RFI, Lydol, a su imposer son nom et sa discipline, le slam, sur la sc\u00e8ne contemporaine. Originaire du Cameroun, elle marie avec une gr\u00e2ce ma\u00eetris\u00e9e la musique et la po\u00e9sie cr\u00e9ant un pont sensible entre \u00e9motions et rythmes. Sur sc\u00e8ne, Lydol lie la puissance des mots \u00e0 une musicalit\u00e9 subtile. R\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9e par la comp\u00e9tition \u00ab L\u2019Afrique a un Incroyable Talent \u00bb elle est reconnue en 2024 par le d\u00e9partement d\u2019\u00c9tat des USA comme Jeune Leader Africain dans le cadre du Mandela Washington Fellowship. Artiste plurielle, elle utilise le slam comme un outil de c\u00e9l\u00e9bration, de r\u00e9sistance, de transmission, et d\u2019\u00e9veil. Elle incarne ses textes de mani\u00e8re th\u00e9\u00e2trale et musicale en m\u00ealant d\u2019autres disciplines \u00e0 ses spectacles, une mani\u00e8re de populariser le slam aupr\u00e8s d\u2019autres publics et de sortir des cadres intimistes. Sa d\u00e9marche artistique se double d\u2019une ambition \u00e9ducative. Ses ateliers d\u2019\u00e9criture, d\u2019\u00e9loquence et de prise de parole l\u2019am\u00e8nent \u00e0 coacher de nouvelles plumes. Elle fonde en 2022 l\u2019Association SHEroes qui aide et accompagne les femmes et jeunes filles victimes de violences. Son spectacle Elixir est une exp\u00e9rience sc\u00e9nique envo\u00fbtante ponctu\u00e9e de textes po\u00e9tiques et chansons o\u00f9 les mots s\u2019infusent aux sonorit\u00e9s de l\u2019Afro fusion, du Modern Jazz et de l\u2019Afro soul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the first female slam poet to reach the finals of the RFI D\u00e9couvertes Award, Lydol has made a name for herself and established slam poetry as a prominent art form on the contemporary scene. Originally from Cameroon, she blends music and poetry with masterful grace, creating a delicate bridge between emotions and rhythms. On stage, Lydol combines the power of words with subtle musicality. Discovered through the competition \u201cAfrica\u2019s Got Talent,\u201d she was recognized in 2024 by the U.S. Department of State as a Young African Leader as part of the Mandela Washington Fellowship. A multifaceted artist, she uses slam poetry as a tool for celebration, resistance, transmission, and awakening. She brings her texts to life through theatrical and musical performances, blending other disciplines into her shows\u2014a way to make slam poetry accessible to a wider audience and move beyond intimate settings. Her artistic approach is complemented by an educational mission. Through her workshops on writing, public speaking, and eloquence, she mentors emerging writers. In 2022, she founded the SHEroes Association, which helps and supports women and girls who are victims of violence. Her show Elixir is a spellbinding stage experience punctuated by poetic texts and songs where the words blend with the sounds of Afro-fusion, modern jazz, and Afro-soul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No\u00e9 Lira est une autrice-compositrice-interpr\u00e8te, com\u00e9dienne et productrice qu\u00e9b\u00e9co-mexicaine qui transforme le concert en exp\u00e9rience totale, habit\u00e9e et rassembleuse. Form\u00e9e en th\u00e9\u00e2tre et en danse, elle d\u00e9veloppe une signature sc\u00e9nique explosive, sensible et profond\u00e9ment incarn\u00e9e, o\u00f9 musique, mouvement et narration se rencontrent dans une approche rituelle singuli\u00e8re. No\u00e9 Lira is a Quebec-Mexican singer-songwriter, actress, and producer who transforms her concerts into immersive, soulful, and unifying experiences. Trained in theater and dance, she has developed an explosive, sensitive, and deeply embodied stage presence, where music, movement, and storytelling converge in a unique, ritualistic approach. A Radio-Canada \u201cR\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9e\u201d for 2022\u20132023 and a nominee for the ADISQ, GAMIQ, and Latin Awards Canada, she has performed over 100 concerts in Canada, notably at the Montreal International Jazz Festival, the Festival en chanson de Petite-Vall\u00e9e, and Nuits d\u2019Afrique. With her new project, OCEANICA (2026), directed by Jean Massicotte, she showcases a bilingual (FR\/ES), organic, and contemporary cinematic pop style at the intersection of alternative pop, world music, and the performing arts. On stage, OCEANICA is an immersive concert-performance that blends song, world music, and the performing arts. The project stands out for its integrated stage design, where voice, movement, and light come together to create an accessible and unique sensory experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trompettiste jazz canadien, nomm\u00e9 R\u00e9v\u00e9lation Jazz Radio-Canada en 2023, son premier album Glimpse m\u00eale jazz europ\u00e9en, moderne et influences nord- africaines, tout en abordant l\u2019impact des r\u00e9seaux sociaux. Son dernier album, Rich State of Mind sorti en janvier 2026, s\u2019inspire du hip-hop et met en vedette Braxton Cook et David Binney. R\u00e9mi s\u2019int\u00e9resse aux formes de richesse non mat\u00e9rielles \u00e0 travers une musique \u00e0 la crois\u00e9e des genres. Blending jazz with the energy of hip-hop, electronic textures, and boundless creativity, this project offers a bold and resolutely modern sound. His compositions blend rhythmic sequences, jazz improvisation, and electronic layers to create an electrifying soundscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zalam Kao<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zalam Kao, groupe montr\u00e9alais form\u00e9 en 2024 de la fusion de cinq artistes aux influences \u00e9clectiques, incarne l\u2019essence de la musique du monde en faisant rayonner la diversit\u00e9 culturelle de la ville. Avant tout un groupe d\u2019amis, Zalam Kao pratique l\u2019art de la cr\u00e9ation collective. Le quintet r\u00e9unit Clovis Lamarre (Tchobis), producteur, mixeur et guitariste ; Antonio Dorsaint Manigat (Ogou Rayf\u00e9), chanteur et rappeur ; MoMo, multi-instrumentiste et chanteur form\u00e9 en jazz ; Lucas Melo, contrebassiste, guitariste et parolier ; et Eda\u00ef Larobina, auteur-compositeur-interpr\u00e8te et instrumentiste. Zalam Kao, a Montreal-based group formed in 2024 through the coming together of five artists with eclectic influences, embodies the essence of world music by showcasing the city\u2019s cultural diversity. First and foremost a group of friends, Zalam Kao practices the art of collective creation. The quintet brings together Clovis Lamarre (Tchobis), producer, mixer, and guitarist; Antonio Dorsaint Manigat (Ogou Rayf\u00e9), singer and rapper; MoMo, a multi-instrumentalist and singer trained in jazz; Lucas Melo, double bassist, guitarist, and lyricist; and Eda\u00ef Larobina, singer-songwriter and instrumentalist. In 2024, Zalam Kao released their debut single, \u201cTout pour toi,\u201d a sunny, unifying hit. In October 2025, their first album, Tou Lumin, blended jazz, funk, soul, and world beat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chac\u00f3n<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Javier Chac\u00f3n, ou simplement CHAC\u00d3N, combine la pop latine et le reggaeton avec le R&B, le gospel, le flamenco et une impressionnante diversit\u00e9 d\u2019univers musicaux. Auteur-compositeur-interpr\u00e8te et producteur musical originaire de Cienfuegos, \u00e0 Cuba, et d\u00e9sormais bas\u00e9 \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al, CHAC\u00d3N s\u2019est produit au Festival International de Jazz de Montr\u00e9al, au Toronto Caribbean Carnival et dans une multitude d\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nements musicaux au Canada et \u00e0 travers le monde. Le spectacle Te necesito est la somme des rencontres et des histoires qui ont fa\u00e7onn\u00e9 CHAC\u00d3N depuis son arriv\u00e9e \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al il y a 10 ans d\u00e9j\u00e0. Fort de sa double culture cubaine et canadienne, l\u2019artiste redessine les sonorit\u00e9s latines en leur insufflant une \u00e9nergie nouvelle et contemporaine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A singer-songwriter and music producer originally from Cienfuegos, Cuba, and now based in Montreal, CHAC\u00d3N has performed at the Montreal International Jazz Festival, the Toronto Caribbean Carnival, and a multitude of musical events in Canada and around the world. The show Te necesito is the culmination of the encounters and stories that have shaped CHAC\u00d3N since his arrival in Montreal 10 years ago. Drawing on his dual Cuban and Canadian heritage, the artist reimagines Latin sounds by infusing them with a fresh, contemporary energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
