Truck Violence<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le groupe canadien Truck Violence explore les facettes les plus brutes du hardcore et du folk, pour aboutir \u00e0 un r\u00e9sultat \u00e0 la fois r\u00e9confortant et provocateur. Leur deuxi\u00e8me album, The weathervane is my body, est une tentative de r\u00e9ponse, une tentative de r\u00e9conciliation par le refus. Apr\u00e8s avoir quitt\u00e9 les prairies de l\u2019Alberta pour s\u2019installer \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e2ge de dix-sept ans \u00e0 peine, Paul Lecours, guitariste et banjo\u00efste de Truck Violence, et Karsyn Henderson, chanteuse et po\u00e8te, ont d\u00fb s\u2019adapter au passage de la vie rurale \u00e0 la vie urbaine. Tous deux ont grandi dans une petite ville de 600 habitants, o\u00f9 ils ont obtenu leur dipl\u00f4me dans une promotion de neuf \u00e9l\u00e8ves. \u00c0 quinze ans, ils dirigeaient d\u00e9j\u00e0 un studio et une station de radio locaux. Ils se sont inspir\u00e9s du punk, du shoegaze et du sludge, et leur son distinctif est le fruit d\u2019ann\u00e9es d\u2019exp\u00e9rimentation \u00e0 travers de multiples projets, chacun fa\u00e7onnant leur identit\u00e9 sonore en constante \u00e9volution. \u00c0 leur arriv\u00e9e \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al, ils ont \u00e9t\u00e9 rejoints par Chris Clegg (basse) et Thomas Hart (percussions) et ont commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 b\u00e2tir Truck Violence \u00e0 partir de z\u00e9ro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Canada\u2019s Truck Violence howl through the harsh edges of hardcore and folk with an ending result that is both comforting and confrontational. Their second full length record\u2014 The weathervane is my body\u2014 is an attempt to answer, an attempt at conciliation through refusal. After relocating from the Alberta prairies to Montr\u00e9al at just seventeen years old, Truck Violence guitarist and banjoist Paul Lecours and singer-poet Karsyn Henderson navigated the shift from rural life to the city. The two grew up in a small town of 600 people, graduating in a class of nine. By age fifteen they were running a local studio and radio station. There was no industry support, no infrastructure, no template for what they were trying to do, only the work itself and the conviction that it was worth doing. They drew influence from punk, shoegaze, and sludge, and their distinctive sound emerges from years of experimentation across multiple projects, each shaping their evolving sonic identity. Upon their move to Montreal, they were joined by Chris Clegg (bass) and Thomas Hart (percussion) and began building Truck Violence from the ground up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nelligan<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nous sommes un groupe de emoviolence\/screamo bilingue (anglais\/francais) Montr\u00e9alais nomm\u00e9 apres le po\u00e8te montr\u00e9alais \u00c9mile Nelligan. On inclu de la po\u00e9sie francaise dans nos performances et les th\u00e8mes dans nos paroles incluent la mont\u00e9 du fascime, la changement climatique ainsi que des \u00e9preuves personelles. Avec nos paroles en anglais et fran\u00e7ais nous cherchont a repr\u00e9senter la ville de Montr\u00e9al dans la grande sc\u00e8ne de screamo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are a bilingual (english\/french) emoviolence\/screamo band from Montreal, Quebec, named after early 20th Century Montreal Poet \u00c9mile Nelligan. We incorporate french poetry into our live performances with lyrics about fascism, the destruction of the environment and personal hardships. With our English and French lyrics, we aim to represent the city of Montreal in the grander screamo scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

inheadlights est un groupe de screamo m\u00e9lodique et de hardcore progressif bas\u00e9 \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al, Qu\u00e9bec. Dans chacune de ses chansons, le groupe s’unit dans un cri intime de col\u00e8re face aux urgences environnementales de notre monde ; ses hurlements et ses sons de guitare brutaux traduisent avec sinc\u00e9rit\u00e9 le sentiment d’une d\u00e9gradation in\u00e9vitable de la Terre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

inheadlights is a melodic screamo and progressive hardcore band based in Montr\u00e9al, QC. Each song the band unites in an intimate chant of anger toward the environmental emergencies of our world, their screams and harsh guitar tones are honest with the sense of inevitable damage to the earth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
