In 2024, singer-songwriter Jeanne Laforest (known in part for her collaborations with Arianne Roy) created Suite pour enfant int\u00e9rieur at the CEM, a cycle of experimental songs inspired by the major stages of the transition from childhood to adulthood. \u00c7a me rappelle toi was born from the meeting of this work with that of saxophonist and composer Florence Garneau. Conceived as a true co-creation, the performance intertwines their musical worlds in a shared piece that moves across the different phases of life. Blending childhood memories, the passage of time, and intergenerational connections, their music resonates with personal stories inspired in part by conversations Florence recorded with her grandmother. Presented as part of Mother\u2019s Day celebrations, this concert offers a gentle and intimate moment to share in the afternoon.
