Maman est un septet de la ville de Qu\u00e9bec port\u00e9 par la qu\u00eate du groove ultime. Soutenue par une section rythmique solide, une voix douce et envo\u00fbtante, une instrumentation riche (guitares, saxophone, congas, claviers, basse et batterie) et une pr\u00e9sence sc\u00e9nique chaleureuse, leur musique est une f\u00eate qui te brasse comme elle te berce.
Avec la sortie de son premier EP (Les baignades) en juin 2025, Maman r\u00e9v\u00e9lait un son organique flirtant avec l’afrobeat, le jazz et la pop qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maman is a seven-piece band from Quebec City driven by the pursuit of the ultimate groove. Backed by a solid rhythm section, a soft and captivating voice, rich instrumentation (guitars, saxophone, congas, keyboards, bass, and drums), and a warm stage presence, their music is a celebration that both stirs and soothes.
With the release of their first EP, Les baignades, in June 2025, Maman revealed an organic sound flirting with Afrobeat, jazz, and Quebecois pop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Originaire des Escoumins, puis \u00e9tablie \u00e0 Qu\u00e9bec, VALOIS revendique son point de vue f\u00e9ministe en le d\u00e9ployant sur des compositions indie pop, qui empruntent aussi \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9lectro et \u00e0 la chanson fran\u00e7aise. Ses chansons imag\u00e9es cherchent les avenues pour assouvir son urgence de vivre intens\u00e9ment. C\u2019est par le c\u0153ur, le ventre et la voix que VALOIS nous am\u00e8ne dans un monde o\u00f9 la femme est parfois reine, parfois sorci\u00e8re, toute-puissante.
VALOIS, c\u2019est aussi le nom de famille de sa grand-m\u00e8re qui n\u2019aura jamais eu l\u2019occasion de le l\u00e9guer avant que la lign\u00e9e ne s\u2019\u00e9teigne. Et quelle lign\u00e9e – une s\u00e9rie de femmes de t\u00eate nourries par leur ambition et leur intelligence. Jordane Labrie se r\u00e9approprie la part VALOIS qui coule dans ses veines en hommage aux femmes importantes de sa vie.
Son premier EP \u00e9ponyme (10 octobre 2025), avec Colin Savoie-Levac \u00e0 la r\u00e9alisation, rassemble cinq chansons qui d\u00e9peignent par la po\u00e9sie le portrait de soci\u00e9t\u00e9 inqui\u00e9tant qui se dresse devant nos yeux depuis les derniers mois. Quoiqu\u2019envahie par le sentiment d\u2019impuissance qui nous habite tous, VALOIS essaie par ses chansons de \u00abcreuser des nouveaux puits de lumi\u00e8re\u00bb (extrait de la chanson fant\u00f4mes). Dans sa vie comme dans sa musique, VALOIS fait face aux \u00e9preuves avec une ambition et une sinc\u00e9rit\u00e9 qui font d\u2019elle une artiste pertinente, compl\u00e8te.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Originally from Les Escoumins and later based in Quebec City, VALOIS asserts a feminist perspective through indie pop compositions that also draw from electro and French chanson. Her vivid songs explore ways to satisfy an urgent desire to live fully. Through heart, gut, and voice, VALOIS invites listeners into a world where women are sometimes queens, sometimes witches, always powerful.
VALOIS is also the surname of her grandmother, who never had the chance to pass it on before the lineage ended. And what a lineage, a series of strong-willed women fueled by ambition and intelligence. Jordane Labrie reclaims the VALOIS part that runs through her veins as a tribute to the important women in her life.
Her self-titled debut EP, released on October 10, 2025, and produced by Colin Savoie-Levac, features five songs that poetically depict the troubling social landscape that has emerged over recent months. While touched by the sense of powerlessness that affects us all, VALOIS uses her songs to \u201cdig new wells of light\u201d (from the track Fant\u00f4mes). In both life and music, VALOIS faces challenges with ambition and sincerity, establishing herself as a complete and relevant artist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

00:20 – La Fuite<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Port\u00e9 par l\u2019humain et les \u00e9motions qui l\u2019habite, La Fuite propose un rock alternatif bord\u00e9 d\u2019une po\u00e9sie florale et d\u00e9licate, une chute aux sonorit\u00e9s progressive. Sur sc\u00e8ne, le groupe expose une escapologie po\u00e9tique, des rythmes dystopiques et des textures fra\u00eeches, offrant au public un exutoire universel, une abstraction dans le groove, la contemplation et la douceur.
La Fuite est n\u00e9e d’un d\u00e9sir d\u2019ext\u00e9riorisation et de partage, d\u2019une volont\u00e9 \u00e0 s\u2019unir pour plonger dans la lourdeur humaine afin d\u2019en extirper les images oniriques pouvant s\u2019y trouver. De cette union d\u00e9coule une musique d\u00e9licate et complexe rythm\u00e9e par les vagues, le bruissement des feuilles et le vent, en phase avec l\u2019environnement Bas-Laurentien dans lequel les artistes \u00e9voluent.
Depuis leur rencontre sur la sc\u00e8ne culturelle rimouskoise, Gabriel Dufour-Langlois (guitare, voix), M\u00e9d\u00e9ryc Turgeon Chamelot (basse), Jean-\u00c9tienne Joubert (batterie) et Olivier Gosselin (piano, synth\u00e9tiseurs) \u00e9difi\u00e8rent leur chimie cr\u00e9ative au sein de diff\u00e9rents projets, \u00e9tablissant ainsi le fondement musical de La Fuite. D\u00e9laissant la palette improvis\u00e9e du jazz, leur formation d\u00e9voile aujourd\u2019hui un rock nouveau et mouvant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Driven by human emotion, La Fuite delivers alternative rock imbued with delicate, floral poetry and progressive tones. On stage, the band presents a poetic escapology, dystopian rhythms, and fresh textures, offering the audience a universal release, an abstraction within groove, contemplation, and softness.
La Fuite was born from a desire to externalize and share, from a will to come together to dive into human weight and extract the dreamlike images within. From this union emerges delicate and complex music, paced by waves, rustling leaves, and wind, in harmony with the Bas-Saint-Laurent environment where the artists live and create.
Since meeting on the cultural scene of Rimouski, Gabriel Dufour-Langlois (guitar, vocals), M\u00e9d\u00e9ryc Turgeon Chamelot (bass), Jean-\u00c9tienne Joubert (drums), and Olivier Gosselin (piano, synthesizers) have developed their creative chemistry across various projects, laying the musical foundation of La Fuite. Moving away from the improvisational palette of jazz, the group now unveils a new, fluid form of rock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

01:00 – Isabelle Charlot<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rimouskoise d\u2019origine,\u00a0Isabelle Charlot\u00a0\u00e9tudie de 2008 \u00e0 2010 en piano-jazz au C\u00e9gep de Drummondville o\u00f9 elle participe \u00e0 de nombreux projets musicaux, autant en cr\u00e9ation qu\u2019en interpr\u00e9tation. Apr\u00e8s ses \u00e9tudes, elle traverse le Canada avec son accord\u00e9on, accompagnant, au piano comme \u00e0 l\u2019accord\u00e9on, des groupes de la c\u00f4te ouest canadienne.
Depuis 2023,\u00a0elle pr\u00e9pare son deuxi\u00e8me album,\u00a0Pour \u00e9blouir la fin du monde, o\u00f9 elle collabore notamment avec son ensemble, le multi-instrumentiste Antoine L\u00e9tourneau-Berger et la slameuse Lysane Picker-Paquin. Profond\u00e9ment ancr\u00e9 dans une d\u00e9marche interdisciplinaire, f\u00e9ministe et r\u00e9gional, ce nouvel album souhaite \u00e9clater les canevas traditionnels de la chanson au Qu\u00e9bec.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Originally from Rimouski, Isabelle Charlot studied jazz piano from 2008 to 2010 at C\u00e9gep de Drummondville, participating in numerous musical projects in both composition and performance. After her studies, she traveled across Canada with her accordion, accompanying West Coast Canadian bands on piano and accordion.
Since 2023, she has been working on her second album, Pour \u00e9blouir la fin du monde, collaborating with her ensemble, multi-instrumentalist Antoine L\u00e9tourneau-Berger, and slam artist Lysane Picker-Paquin. Deeply rooted in an interdisciplinary, feminist, and regional approach, this new album aims to break traditional frameworks of Quebecois songwriting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
