Patche, c\u2019est ben plus que des hommes-machines \u2013 m\u00eame si y a ben de l\u2019attirail \u00e9lectronique qui les entoure, y a aussi du feeling l\u00e0-dedans sur un temps. Propuls\u00e9 par cinq vieux amis qui officient aupr\u00e8s de ou en tant que Mon Doux Saigneur, Alex Burger, Kl\u00f4 Pelgag, Lumi\u00e8re, Duu et zouz, le combo instrumental montr\u00e9alais plonge dans l\u2019\u00e9lectro tous synth\u00e9s modulaires devant, augment\u00e9 d\u2019une drive punk gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l\u2019apport de drum machine, batterie acoustique, basses \u00e9lectrique et synth\u00e9tique et harmonica synth\u00e9tis\u00e9 (!). Patche, c\u2019est de l\u2019\u00e9lectro qui est \u00e0 la fois psych\u00e9d\u00e9lique et motorik, forg\u00e9 de rythmes hypnotiques et de loops atypiques, convoquant tour \u00e0 tour rock exp\u00e9rimental, techno de la Berlin School, art-rock, avant-garde et EDM dans un giron tourbillonnant. Le groupe a foul\u00e9 d\u2019importantes sc\u00e8nes au Qu\u00e9bec (Festival de Jazz de Montr\u00e9al, La Noce, FME) aussi bien qu\u2019outre-Atlantique (Pelpass Festival, Bars en Trans, Reeperbahn, Rockomotives…), cumulant au passage des tourn\u00e9es europ\u00e9ennes et au UK : des shows hypnotiques, immersifs, qui induisent in\u00e9vitablement la danse, voire la transe \u2013 et dont le public est une part int\u00e9grante. Faisant suite \u00e0 Patche (2023) et Document (2024), Mode, son troisi\u00e8me album, est attendu pour octobre 2025 sous popop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Patche is much more than just machine-men \u2013 even though there\u2019s plenty of electronic gear around them, there\u2019s also real feeling in the timing. Driven by five longtime friends who have worked with or as Mon Doux Saigneur, Alex Burger, Kl\u00f4 Pelgag, Lumi\u00e8re, Duu, and Zouz, the Montreal-based instrumental combo dives into synth-heavy electro, augmented with a punk drive thanks to drum machines, acoustic drums, electric and synth bass, and even a synthesized harmonica. Patche\u2019s music is both psychedelic and motorik, built on hypnotic rhythms and atypical loops, drawing from experimental rock, Berlin School techno, art-rock, avant-garde, and EDM in a swirling blend. The band has played major stages in Quebec (Montreal Jazz Festival, La Noce, FME) as well as abroad (Pelpass Festival, Bars en Trans, Reeperbahn, Rockomotives\u2026), accumulating European and UK tours along the way. Their shows are hypnotic, immersive, and inevitably induce dancing \u2013 even trance \u2013 with the audience as an integral part of the experience. Following Patche (2023) and Document (2024), their third album, Mode, is expected in October 2025 on Popop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
