Cure-Pipe<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cure-Pipe, c\u2019est le projet de l\u2019auteur-compositeur-interpr\u00e8te Thomas Dakin, qui s\u2019entoure de collaborateurs de talent pour cr\u00e9er une exp\u00e9rience musicale totalement \u00e9clat\u00e9e et prenante. Ainsi, rock psych\u00e9d\u00e9lique et garage pop se m\u00ealent ais\u00e9ment au rock classique et \u00e0 l\u2019hyperpop pour cr\u00e9er une recette surprenante, un peu crasseuse, mais surtout, totalement vraie. Thomas ne fait pas dans la demi-mesure. Avec Cure-Pipe, il se livre enti\u00e8rement, sans compromis. Il y a de ces artistes qui nous obligent \u00e0 s\u2019arr\u00eater et \u00e0 prendre le temps d\u2019\u00e9couter. Thomas est de ceux-l\u00e0.
En 2021, \u00e0 la suite de la parution de son premier album, Mazeless Loudness, Thomas et ses acolytes ont tourn\u00e9 un peu partout au Qu\u00e9bec. Les m\u00e9lomanes ont rapidement \u00e9t\u00e9 s\u00e9duits par la pr\u00e9sence et l\u2019intensit\u00e9 du jeune artiste fortement inspir\u00e9 par l\u2019esth\u00e9tique psych\u00e9d\u00e9lique. Avec l\u2019album Le Pire, paru en 2022 avec le soutien de Solut\u00e9 Records, Cure-Pipe prend un virage pop tout en restant fid\u00e8le \u00e0 ses racines garage.
L\u2019ann\u00e9e 2023 marque un tournant important dans la carri\u00e8re de Thomas, puisque l\u2019album J\u2019avais a rapidement attir\u00e9 l\u2019attention des m\u00e9lomanes et des professionnels de l\u2019industrie. Ainsi, Cure-Pipe se positionne maintenant comme un artiste original et prometteur de la sc\u00e8ne musicale qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise. Cure-Pipe is the project of singer-songwriter Thomas Dakin, who surrounds himself with talented collaborators to create a totally exploded and gripping musical experience. Psychedelic rock and garage pop blend effortlessly with classic rock and hyperpop to create a recipe that\u2019s surprising, a little grimy, but above all, totally real. Thomas doesn\u2019t do things by halves. With Cure-Pipe, he gives himself away completely, without compromise. There are artists who force us to stop and take the time to listen. In 2021, following the release of his debut album, Mazeless Loudness, Thomas and his band toured throughout Quebec. Tom Leger<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tom Leger est le projet solo de Thomas Leger, auteur-compositeur, chanteur, batteur et co-r\u00e9alisateur au sein de la formation Valse Fr\u00e9quence. Actif sur la sc\u00e8ne musicale francophone qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise depuis 2018, il y d\u00e9veloppe une approche personnelle de la chanson, ancr\u00e9e dans la batterie et la voix, et nourrie par une curiosit\u00e9 constante pour les textures, la production et la forme.
Son projet solo poursuit ce qu\u2019il a entam\u00e9 avec Valse Fr\u00e9quence, mais avec plus de libert\u00e9, d\u2019intimit\u00e9 et d\u2019assurance. Il y approfondit sa relation \u00e0 la cr\u00e9ation sonore, en explorant ce qui se passe quand le rythme, le chant et le son deviennent un m\u00eame geste. Sa musique \u00e9volue dans une zone fluide entre chanson, rock indie, textures lo-fi et \u00e9lectroacoustique. Sa d\u00e9marche se nourrit de ce qui est l\u00e0 : un souffle, une prise brute, un motif rythmique qui devient chanson. Ses influences \u2014 de la musique contemporaine \u00e0 la chanson populaire \u2014 s\u2019int\u00e8grent dans un rapport instinctif \u00e0 l\u2019instrument et \u00e0 la mati\u00e8re.
Jouer et chanter en m\u00eame temps, c\u2019est maintenir une tension entre pr\u00e9cision et d\u00e9bordement. Ce geste paradoxal, il le conna\u00eet bien : \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cole, on l\u2019appelait \u00ab l\u2019enfant terrible \u00bb, celui qui ne restait jamais en place. Cette \u00e9nergie traverse encore sa musique \u2014 une pulsation vive, physique, qui cherche sans cesse \u00e0 prendre forme. Son projet solo se construit dans l\u2019exp\u00e9rimentation et la narration, avec l\u2019envie de laisser la forme ouverte. C\u2019est une recherche libre, port\u00e9e par la voix et par le corps, o\u00f9 le son devient un langage en soi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tom Leger is the solo project of Thomas Leger, a songwriter, singer, drummer, and co-producer within the group Valse Fr\u00e9quence. Active on the Quebec Francophone music scene since 2018, he has been developing a personal approach to songwriting\u2014rooted in drums and vocals, and fueled by a constant curiosity for textures, production, and form.
His solo project continues what was started with Valse Fr\u00e9quence, but with more freedom, intimacy, and confidence. He deepens his relationship with sound composition, exploring what happens when rhythm, voice, and sound become a single entity. His music moves fluidly between indie rock, lo-fi textures and electroacoustic genres. His approach is grounded in what\u2019s already there: a breath, a raw take, a rhythmic motif that becomes a song. His influences\u2014from contemporary music to pop songs\u2014merge into an instinctive relationship with instruments and raw material.
Playing and singing at the same time means maintaining a tension between precision and excess. He knows this paradoxical gesture well: in school, he was called \u201cenfant terrible\u201d, the kid who never stayed still. That same energy still runs through his music\u2014a vivid, physical pulse that constantly seeks form. His solo work is built through experimentation and storytelling, with a desire to keep the form open. It\u2019s a free exploration, driven by voice and body, where sound becomes a language in itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
