Shallow<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shallow est un groupe de cinq musiciens originaire de Montr\u00e9al et Toronto, \u00e0 mi-chemin entre un mur de bruit et une sensibilit\u00e9 pop plus large. Ce projet autoproduit m\u00e9lange des boucles et des \u00e9chantillons autoproduits avec des couches de distorsion de guitare tourbillonnante, canalisant le m\u00eame \u00e9lan hypnotique que les groupes qui les ont inspir\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shallow is a 5 piece band from Montreal and Toronto, caught somewhere between a wall of noise and broader pop sensibilities. A self-produced project blending loops and self-sampled material with layers of swirling guitar distortion, channeling the same kind of hypnotic momentum as the bands that inspired them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Diamond Day red\u00e9finit le shoegaze dans un univers \u00e9lectro vaporeux. Ce duo Montr\u00e9alais\/Victorien est n\u00e9 de l\u2019esprit de B\u00e9atrix M\u00e9th\u00e9 (Rosier), dont l\u2019\u00e9ducation rurale au Qu\u00e9bec lui a insuffl\u00e9 un lien profond avec les traditions folk, et de Quinn Bachand, de l\u2019\u00eele de Vancouver, multi-instrumentiste polyvalent nomin\u00e9 aux Grammys. Leur premier album, Connect the Dots, fusionne des beats glitchy et des guitares scintillantes, m\u00ealant la voix magn\u00e9tique de M\u00e9th\u00e9 aux paysages sonores luxuriants de Bachand. Diamond Day creates a hazy, electro-tinged dreamscape from the foundations of shoegaze, where glitchy organ drums meet the raw energy of jangly, almost-exploding guitars. The Montreal\/Victoria duo is the brainchild of Rosier\u2019s B\u00e9atrix M\u00e9th\u00e9, whose rural Quebec upbringing instilled a deep connection to folk traditions, and Vancouver Island\u2019s Quinn Bachand, a versatile Grammy-nominated multi-instrumentalist. Their debut album, Connect the Dots (2024), is a hypnotic and shoegazey alt-pop journey. M\u00e9th\u00e9\u2019s captivating vocals and catchy hooks provide a sharp focus, piercing Bachand\u2019s lush, noise-pop soundscapes to create a retro-futuristic euphoria inspired by Julee Cruise, Cocteau Twins, and Curve.
To celebrate their one-year anniversary, Diamond Day released \u201cDot Dot Dot\u201d in spring 2025, a reworked version of their debut record. They assembled a \u201cdream team\u201d for the project, which included Robin Guthrie of Cocteau Twins, His Name Is Alive (whom Bowie once called one of his \u201cfavourite artists\u201d), indie pioneer Sonic Boom (Spacemen 3), Montreal\u2019s KROY (Milk & Bone), and electronic legend John Tejada. This collaboration united four generations of dream pop lineage, reimagining the genre through the lens of its pioneers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fleeting Colours est un groupe de shoegaze\/dream-pop de Montr\u00e9al, form\u00e9 \u00e0 la fin de 2022 par Pablo Sabbagh (guitare), Tom Sedgwick (basse) et Seamus Hickey (chant, guitare), r\u00e9unis par une appr\u00e9ciation commune des voix douces et des tonalit\u00e9s de guitare luxuriantes. S\u2019inspirant de la m\u00e9lancolie brumeuse de Duster et de la nuance introspective d\u2019Elliott Smith, Goldenstar propose un son \u00e0 la fois intime et immersif. Leurs chansons se d\u00e9ploient avec une patience d\u00e9lib\u00e9r\u00e9e : guitares gratt\u00e9es, voix superpos\u00e9es et textures sonores subtiles. Des titres comme \u00ab Sevenscore \u00bb et \u00ab Asleep \u00bb t\u00e9moignent de l\u2019instinct de retenue et d\u2019atmosph\u00e8re du groupe, m\u00ealant enregistrements de terrain et arrangements minimaux avec une intention \u00e9vocatrice.
