La signature stylistique de Phth est, tout comme l\u2019art visuel de Beth Frey, pleine d\u2019humour et de surprises. La nature informe et chromatique des cr\u00e9atures de Beth partage des \u00e9chos conceptuels et sensoriels frappants avec leur mise en voix bizarro\u00efde par Phth, connus pour leur palette sonore qui accueille la beaut\u00e9 et la laideur organiques du son sans discrimination.<br>Chaque vocaliste de l\u2019ensemble Phth est compositeur\u00b7trice et improvisateur\u00b7trice; le processus cr\u00e9atif pour cette \u0153uvre est un hybride de co-cr\u00e9ation collective, d\u2019improvisation vocale et de partition visuelle \u00e0 partir des images vid\u00e9o. Les outils artistiques de Beth Frey englobent le dessin \u00e0 l\u2019aquarelle, l\u2019art vid\u00e9o, l\u2019\u00e9go-portrait, le d\u00e9tournement d\u2019applications mobiles et une utilisation cr\u00e9ative de l\u2019intelligence artificielle. Les corps et mouvements des membres de Phth ont servi \u00e0 construire les \u00eatres morphologiquement ambigus de cette mascarade, qui semblent suspendus entre le plaisir et l\u2019inqui\u00e9tude, le pr\u00e9cieux et le grotesque.<br>Un spectacle baroque, exub\u00e9rant et r\u00e9solument moderne qui promet de brouiller les fronti\u00e8res entre r\u00e9alit\u00e9 et imaginaire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The result of an explosive collaboration between vocal ensemble Phth and visual artist Beth Frey, this show highlights the five singers and their costumes, metamorphosed and fused through captivating digital editing.<br>\u00a1N\u00e9mangerie m\u00e2ch\u00e9e! features a parade of strange characters on video, set to sound by a vocal performance in space. Phth\u2019s signature style, like Beth Frey\u2019s visual art, is rife with humour and surprises. The formless, chromatic nature of Beth\u2019s creatures share striking conceptual and sensory echoes with their bizarre voicing by Phth, known for their sonic palette that welcomes both the organic beauty and ugliness of sound without discrimination.<br>Each vocalist in the Phth ensemble is a composer and improviser; the creative process for this work is a hybrid of collective co-creation, vocal improvisation and visual scoring using video images. Beth Frey\u2019s artistic tools include watercolour drawing, video art, self-portraiture, hijacking of mobile applications and creative use of artificial intelligence.
