Form\u00e9 en 2022, The Wesleys r\u00e9unit des membres venus de divers horizons. Leur premier EP de quatre chansons, sorti en 2022, a permis au groupe de faire son entr\u00e9e sur la sc\u00e8ne locale et au-del\u00e0 du Qu\u00e9bec. En septembre dernier, The Wesleys est retourn\u00e9 en studio, cette fois en collaboration avec Scott “Monty” Muro du groupe canadien Pr\u00e9occupations, pour travailler sur son prochain album, pr\u00e9vu pour mars 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Formed in early 2022, Montreal The Wesleys are a rock band known for their electrifying blend of heart and adrenaline. Following the release of their debut EP Outside Voices, the band quickly made a name for themselves in the Montreal music scene with their distinctive sound, thoughtful rock ‘n’ roll meditations on the human condition. In 2025, they\u2019ll release, their anticipated follow-up on Petit Village Records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alex Walton<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lex Walton est une musicienne de 24 ans, cin\u00e9aste, po\u00e9tesse en prose, menuisi\u00e8re amateur, troubadour n\u00e9vros\u00e9e du c\u0153ur, survivante de l’\u00e2me du rock and roll, et autrice de The Sound Rocker’s Prayer<\/em>. Elle a sorti 7 singles, 3 EPs et 4 albums complets au cours des deux derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es (y compris une collaboration avec Ezra Furman), tous musicalement disparates mais empreints de la m\u00eame fr\u00e9n\u00e9sie amoureuse, pleine d’accroches, et d’une hyperconfessionnalit\u00e9 effront\u00e9e. Aussi \u00e9tonnamment beaux qu’ils sont d\u00e9chirants, ses disques t\u00e9moignent d’une tension visc\u00e9rale. Ils ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9crits comme \u00e9tant \u00ab juste trop \u00bb, tandis que ses performances live sont qualifi\u00e9es de \u00ab terrifiantes \u00bb. On ressent un d\u00e9sespoir palpable, o\u00f9 tout semble mis en jeu, comme si seule la gr\u00e2ce de Dieu pouvait emp\u00eacher cet avion de s’\u00e9craser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lex Walton is a 24 year old musician, filmmaker, prose poet, amateur carpenter, neurotic troubadour of the heart, rock and roll soul survivor, and author of “the sound rocker’s prayer.” It\/she has released 7 singles, 3 EPs, and 4 full length albums in the last 2 years (including a collaboration with Ezra Furman), all musically disparate but charged with the same kind of hook-laden lovestruck mania and brazen hyperconfessionality, as stunningly beautiful as they are acts of bitter teeth gnashing. Its\/her records have been described as “just too much” and her live performance as “terrifying,” one gets the feeling of desperation, that everything is put on the line and only the grace of god can keep this plane from crashing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Nikolas L. B. Brigade<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
