Son approche multidisciplinaire l\u2019a amen\u00e9 \u00e0 collaborer avec des ensembles comme Defunensemble (FI) et Sound Initiative (FR), Kollektiv Totem (CH) et avec l\u2019artiste visuelle Maija Tammi. Actuellement doctorant \u00e0 l\u2019Acad\u00e9mie Sibelius, ses recherches portent sur l\u2019usage symbolique des technologies \u00e9lectroniques en musique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Charles Quevillon is a Canadian composer, residing in Finland. A graduate of the Conservatoire de Musique de Montr\u00e9al, he worked for 12 years with choreographer Tedd Robinson on 27 projects, presented at major festivals. His multidisciplinary approach has led him to collaborate with ensembles such as Defunensemble (FI) and Sound Initiative (FR), Kollektiv Totem (CH), as well as with visual artist Maija Tammi. Currently pursuing a doctorate at the Sibelius Academy, his research focuses on the symbolic use of electronic technologies in music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><strong>Sawtooth Duo\u00a0(Sarah Albu + Matti Pulkki)<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sawtooth est un duo \u00e9clectique voix-accord\u00e9on qui explore les liens entre la musique folklorique, la musique classique et le r\u00e9pertoire contemporain. Avec une passion pour les textures exp\u00e9rimentales, la collaboration interdisciplinaire et une profonde connexion \u00e0 la narration, Sawtooth recherche des r\u00e9pertoires de chansons obscures, adapte des pi\u00e8ces de chambre \u00e9crites pour d&#8217;autres instruments et d\u00e9veloppe de nouvelles \u0153uvres en collaboration avec des compositeurs.<br>Sarah Albu est chanteuse, compositrice et cr\u00e9atrice de performances, sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e dans la musique nouvelle\/exp\u00e9rimentale, le r\u00e9pertoire du XXe si\u00e8cle et l&#8217;improvisation libre. Bas\u00e9e \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al, Sarah est membre fondatrice du collectif vocal exp\u00e9rimental Phth et collabore fr\u00e9quemment avec des artistes travaillant dans la vid\u00e9o, l&#8217;installation, la danse contemporaine, le textile et les m\u00e9dias num\u00e9riques.<br>L&#8217;accord\u00e9oniste Matti Pulkki est un interpr\u00e8te actif et enthousiaste du r\u00e9pertoire contemporain et exp\u00e9rimental. With a passion for experimental textures, interdisciplinary collaboration and deep connection to narrative, Sawtooth seeks out obscure song repertoire, adapts chamber pieces written for other instruments and develops new works in collaboration with composers.<br>Sarah Albu is a singer, composer and performance-maker specializing in new\/experimental music, 20th century repertoire and free improvisation. Montreal-based Sarah is a founding member of the experimental voice collective Phth and frequently collaborates with artists working in video, installation, contemporary dance, textiles and digital media.<br>Accordionist Matti Pulkki is an active and enthusiastic performer of contemporary and experimental repertoire. Often performing with different chamber groups and ensembles, Pulkki seeks to explore and extend the technical and acoustic possibilities of his instrument in the music written in our time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Programme<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le Bapt\u00eame du Haut-Parleur (2024) 62\u201900\u201d<br>Op\u00e9ra de chambre en 4 actes pour soprano, accord\u00e9on, Genelec 8020D, marionnettiste et \u00e9lectronique.<br>D\u00e9livrance \u2014 M\u00e9moires \u2014 Souffrance \u2014 Sublimation<br>Le Bapt\u00eame du Haut-Parleur\u00a0cherche \u00e0 d\u00e9construire la vision ordinaire du haut-parleur comme un simple objet utilitaire et \u00e0 r\u00e9v\u00e9ler ses significations arch\u00e9typales et mystiques latentes. Par une approche \u00e0 la fois ludique et sinc\u00e8re, cet op\u00e9ra relie le cadre consum\u00e9riste et technologique du haut-parleur au symbolisme religieux et spirituel. Par exemple, l\u2019Acte I : D\u00e9livrance s\u2019inspire du bapt\u00eame moderne des objets technologiques : les vid\u00e9os de \u00ab unboxing \u00bb sur YouTube. Ainsi, cet op\u00e9ra interroge la mani\u00e8re d\u2019int\u00e9grer de fa\u00e7on significative un haut-parleur, avec toute son \u00ab \u00e2me \u00bb et ses facettes plus sombres, dans la vie spirituelle humaine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Program<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Loudspeaker Baptism\u00a0(2024) 62&#8217;00&#8221;<br>Chamber opera in 4 acts for soprano, accordion, Genelec 8020D, puppeteer and electronics.<br>Delivery \u2014 Memories \u2014 Suffering \u2014 Sublimation<br>Loudspeaker Baptism\u00a0aims to crack open the mundane perception of a loudspeaker as a mere commodity and activate its latent archetypal and mystical meanings. Through a playful yet earnest approach, this opera connects the consumerist and technological framework of a loudspeaker with religious and spiritual symbolism. For instance, Act I: Delivery is inspired by the modern baptism of technological objects: the \u201cunboxing\u201d YouTube videos.
