MINT SIMON, c\u2019est le projet solo du leader du band indie-pop Caveboy. Originaire de Montr\u00e9al, Mint est un enfant du th\u00e9\u00e2tre devenu pop star, existant quelque part sur le spectre du genre entre Ferris Bueller et Prince. Sa musique est une exploration sonore et lyrique de l\u2019amour, des occasions manqu\u00e9es, du d\u00e9sir et de la lib\u00e9ration sexuelle. Mint s\u2019y d\u00e9couvrir et s\u2019y exprime, d\u00e9veloppant une sonorit\u00e9 musicale unique pour raconter sa qu\u00eate d\u2019acceptation de soi avec des chansons pop fluides, captivantes et accrocheuses. Tout de cuire et de cuirette, scintillant et r\u00e9solument queer \u2014 ce prince de la pop puise dans ses influences des ann\u00e9es 80 et 90, tout en demeurant aussi libre qu\u2019authentique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MINT SIMON is the solo project of the front person of indie-pop band, Caveboy. Born & raised in Montreal, Mint is a theatre kid, turned band lead, turned pop star living somewhere on the gender spectrum between Ferris Bueller and Prince. Their music is a sonic and lyrical exploration of love, missed opportunities, desire and sexual liberation. Mint is using this as a vehicle for self-discovery and expression, as they develop their unique musical sound as a solo act while sharing their journey of self-acceptance with captivating and effortlessly catchy pop tunes. Leather, pleather, shimmer n\u2019 glimmer \u2013 they are unapologetically queer \u2013 a pop prince tapping into their 80s and 90s influences, while being unabashedly themselves and having zero restrictions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luella<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luella est le projet musical de Liv Whitfield, une artiste de 20 ans bas\u00e9e \u00e0 Kingston. Sa sonorit\u00e9 dreampop soul est surtout connue pour ses lignes de base accrocheuses, ses voix nettes et ses paroles honn\u00eates. Son premier album sorti en 2022, Luna, a \u00e9t\u00e9 produit en collaboration avec son p\u00e8re, Zane Whitfield, au studio North of Princess (Glorious Sons, Kathleen Edwards, Blue Stones). En moins d\u2019un an, Luella a tranquillement accumul\u00e9 quelque 30 000 streams vid\u00e9o et plus de 100 000 streams sur Spotify, tout en jouant \u00e0 guichets ferm\u00e9s aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s de fanclubwallet, Dizzy et Claudia Bouvette. Le nouvel album de Luella, Summer Bummer, est un testament \u00e0 ses derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es de jeune fille, capturant l\u2019essence douce-am\u00e8re des \u00e9t\u00e9s \u00e9ph\u00e9m\u00e8res, des tourments du premier amour et des c\u0153urs in\u00e9vitablement bris\u00e9s.
