LAUZIER a manifestement con\u00e7u le langage inusit\u00e9 de SPLENDIDE ABYSSE \u00e0 partir de minutieuses explorations timbrales avec chacun de ses comparses. Ses compositions, qui allient pr\u00e9parations instrumentales rigoureuses et exquise sensibilit\u00e9 d\u2019ex\u00e9cution, conf\u00e8rent \u00e0 l\u2019univers sonore du quatuor une nature scintillante et l\u00e9g\u00e8rement aquatique, unique en son genre, o\u00f9 chaque silence est riche de sens. \u00c0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur de ce cadre, chaque instrumentiste a amplement de latitude pour improviser et, ainsi, donner vie \u00e0 la mati\u00e8re musicale que LAUZIER a cr\u00e9\u00e9e et affin\u00e9e sp\u00e9cialement pour ce groupe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Montreal composer and clarinettist PHILIPPE LAUZIER has assembled a quartet of fantastic musicians with whom he has already worked as a duo: BELINDA CAMPBELL (piano, DX7 synthesizer) and FR\u00c9D\u00c9RIQUE ROY (vocals, accordion), also from Montreal, and percussionist CARLO COSTA, an Italian living in New York. LAUZIER&#8217;s unusual language for SPLENDIDE ABYSSE is clearly the result of meticulous timbral explorations with each of his comparses. His compositions, which combine rigorous instrumental preparation and exquisite sensitivity of execution, give the quartet&#8217;s sound universe a unique, sparkling, slightly aquatic nature, where every silence is rich in meaning.
