Together, the two composers seek to reweave and retrace the links between Mandingo and jazz music through their compositions that hybridise the rhythms, harmony and improvisation of each of these traditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Racines est le projet musical de Laurent Perrault-Jolicoeur, contrebassiste jazz gradu\u00e9 de McGill, et Zal Sissokho, korafola connu pour ses projets sortant des sentiers battus comme Kora Flamenca ou Famal\u00e9.
