The process works wonders: a few weeks later, the 7 members of Chanda&amp;The Passengers start meeting weekly to write and develop their sound.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Montreal-born Chanda Holmes (vocals) pushes the band in a soul and R&amp;B direction. She takes the stage at every show, winning over the audience. Pierre Emond (Saxophone) studied jazz at McGill before leaving to live and play in Europe for 15 years. Carlos Casique (Piano) immigrated to Canada from Venezuela to become a musician; he takes care of the jazz harmony and Latin rhythms in the songs. Zander Masser (Guitar), originally from New York, has played in dozens of bands in the U.S. and now wants to bring the groove to Canada. Laurent Massie (bass), has spent his life playing in Quebec in funk, prog and pop bands. He anchors and pushes the band&#8217;s pieces. Gonzalo Camelo (trumpet) hails from Colombia and brings the classic salsa sound he has developed over a long international musical career. Finally, RomainPeynichou (drums), from Paris, mixes his passion for funk music and jazz drums into Chanda&amp;The Passengers&#8217; pieces.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>After two years of existence and over 30 shows, the band has been pushed towards the recording of &#8220;Medicinal Love&#8221;, released on February 14, 2019. It&#8217;s at live shows that Chanda&amp;The Passengers really come into their own; it&#8217;s there that the band members let their individualities shine through the most, the group cohesion they&#8217;ve developed, and above all the deep love they have for Funk music.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Chanda &amp; The Passengers d\u00e9bute en 2016 lorsque Zander Masser (guitare) publie une annonce en ligne recherchant des musiciens funk\/soul pour un nouveau band. Le processus fonctionne \u00e0 merveille : quelques semaines plus tard, les 7 membres de Chanda &amp; The Passengers commencent \u00e0 se rencontrer hebdomadairement pour \u00e9crire et d\u00e9velopper leur son.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Chanda Holmes (chant), originaire de Montr\u00e9al, pousse le band dans une direction Soul et R&amp;B. C\u2019est elle qui s\u2019empare de la sc\u00e8ne \u00e0 chaque spectacle et conquit le public. Pierre Emond (Saxophone) a \u00e9tudi\u00e9 le Jazz \u00e0 McGill avant de partir vivre et jouer en Europe pendant 15 ans. Carlos Casique (Piano) a immigr\u00e9 au Canada depuis le Venezuela pour devenir musicien ; il se charge de l\u2019harmonie jazz et des rythmes latins dans les morceaux. Laurent Massie (basse), a pass\u00e9 sa vie \u00e0 jouer au Qu\u00e9bec dans des formations funk, prog et pop. C\u2019est lui ancre et pousse les pi\u00e8ces du band. Gonzalo Camelo (trompette) vient de Colombie et apporte le son classique salsa qu\u2019il a su d\u00e9velopper au cours d\u2019une longue carri\u00e8re musicale internationale. Finalement, Romain Peynichou (batterie), provenant de Paris, mixe sa passion pour la musique funk et la batterie jazz dans les pi\u00e8ces de Chanda &amp; The Passengers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apr\u00e8s deux ans d\u2019existence et plus de 30 spectacles, la formation a \u00e9t\u00e9 pouss\u00e9 vers l\u2019enregistrement de \u201cMedicinal Love\u201d, sorti le 14 F\u00e9vrier 2019.
