HATE IT TOO WAS BORN IN 2008, on the banks of the St. Lawrence River in Trois-Pistoles, Quebec. What started out as a hobby for these high school kids turned into a more serious project in early 2010.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the summer of 2012, the band moved to Quebec City and recorded their first release: “It’s About Time”, which came out in November later that year. The EP featured the quartet’s best material since its inception.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the dawn of 2013, the band, newly relocated to Quebec City, began work on their first full-length album. It took almost two years – and a change of bassist – for the band to begin recording their first big project, Purple Mountains. This debut album was released on August 18, 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hate It Too promoted the album across the province and began working on new opportunities for their music. Purple Mountains, as well as the EP, sold many copies in various places in Europe, Asia, South America and of course North America. The guys have shared the stage with international artists such as Gob, Bigwig, Seaway, A Wilhelm Scream, Swingin’ Utters, Bigwig, Seaway, Pears, The Brains, Mute, Dance Laury Dance, Sandveiss, Cobra Skulls, and the list goes on. In 2020, the band decided to join forces with Montreal label Hell For Breakfast for the release of their second album “Lampshading” in May 2020. The album is a worldwide success, bringing the band closer to their goal of becoming known outside Quebec. While in the studio recording their second album, they took the opportunity to record a few songs that will now be part of their next EP, “Gaslighting”, released on November 5, 2021, continuing their partnership with the Hell For Breakfast team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L\u2019EP \u00e9tait compos\u00e9 des meilleurs morceaux du quatuor depuis sa cr\u00e9ation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00c0 l’aube de 2013, le groupe nouvellement emm\u00e9nag\u00e9 \u00e0 Qu\u00e9bec a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 travailler sur son premier album complet. Il aura fallu pr\u00e8s de deux ans – et un changement de bassiste – pour que le groupe commence \u00e0 enregistrer son premier gros projet, Purple Mountains. Ce premier album est sorti le 18 ao\u00fbt 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hate It Too a fait la promotion de l\u2019album \u00e0 travers la province et a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 travailler sur de nouvelles opportunit\u00e9s pour sa musique. Purple Mountains, ainsi que l’EP, ont vendu de nombreux exemplaires dans diff\u00e9rents endroits en Europe, en Asie, en Am\u00e9rique du Sud et bien s\u00fbr en Am\u00e9rique du Nord. Les gars ont partag\u00e9 la sc\u00e8ne avec des artistes internationaux tels que Gob, Bigwig, Seaway, A Wilhelm Scream, Swingin’ Utters, Bigwig, Seaway, Pears, The Brains, Mute, Dance Laury Dance, Sandveiss, Cobra Skulls, et la liste continue. C\u2019est en 2020 que la formation a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de joindre ses forces au label Montr\u00e9alais Hell For Breakfast pour la sortie de leur deuxi\u00e8me album \u201cLampshading\u201d en mai 2020. Cet album conna\u00eet un succ\u00e8s partout dans le monde, rapprochant le groupe de leur objectif; \u00eatre connu en dehors du Qu\u00e9bec. Durant leur passage en studio pour l\u2019enregistrement de leur deuxi\u00e8me album, ils ont pris l\u2019opportunit\u00e9 d\u2019enregistrer quelques chansons qui feront maintenant partie de leur prochain EP, \u201cGaslighting\u201d sorti le 5 Novembre 2021, poursuivant du m\u00eame coup leur partenariat avec l\u2019\u00e9quipe de Hell For Breakfast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
